Today Kenwal Restorations fixed an improperly flashed garage door wrap. The original garage door wrap was missing a drip cap causing water infiltration eventually causing the wood underneath to rot away. We removed and replaced all of the rotted wood. Today at Kenwal Restorations we repaired an improperly flashed skylight that had been leaking.We removed the skylight and stepped back the surrounding shingles. Well, it was another beautiful day in Ohio, and we couldn't have asked for a better one to do this roof in Akron, Ohio. This particular roof required special edge vent ventilation as many cape cods style homes do. The edge vent allows for airflow from the eave when there is a lack of soffit venting. Today Kenwal worked on a beautiful historic church in the heart of Ravenna. We repaired some water damaged plaster on the ceiling of the sanctuary. Finished pictures to come soon!

As promised here are some finished photos of the fireplace project we posted about a few weeks ago. We installed a custom cut sandstone hearth along with an Amish built mantle. Then we tied it all together with real marble stacked stone, for an awesome finished product.
