Attention Granger Families!
🌞 Summer fun is here, but before you grab your flip-flops and sunscreen and head to the pool, let’s tackle enrollment for the 24/25 school year!
📚 Here’s the game plan to enroll your returning student:
Log into the Home Access Center (HAC) – it’s easier than finding the TV remote.
Select your student at the top right corner – like choosing the last slice of pizza.
Click the Registration icon at the top of the page – we promise it’s not as scary as it sounds.
Go to the Update Enrollment tab and click START to fill out the 2024-2025 enrollment form for each returning student – because doing it in your PJs is awesome.
Upload a copy of your proof of residency. Registration is incomplete without this step! Don’t make us hunt you down!
🚨 The heat is on! We need these enrollments ASAP so we can assign classes before we’re all sipping lemonade by the pool. Otherwise, your student won't be placed in a class till August! 😯
✅ So, check this task off your list early and enjoy your summer stress-free! 🌴

Contact the office with any questions Monday - Thursday 7:30a-5:00p! But act fast - Granger office will be closed for summer after Thursday, June 13th!

📚 TO REGISTER YOUR RETURNING STUDENT:

We are so excited to celebrate our Wranglers at awards and graduation ceremonies this week! These KGE Challenge Coins will be presented to each of the Kid With Character recipients from the school year. The coins were collaboratively designed by several members of House Council as a token of recognition related to our National School of Character distinction.

More info on Granger’s Artemis Moon Tree!
Today was a day full of celebrations at Granger Elementary! One of our special announcements is a celebration indeed.
In 2022, NASA launched the Artemis I mission. Part of the payload included 2,000 seeds from five different tree species. These seeds flew on a six-week journey 40,000 miles beyond the moon! NASA and the USDA Forest Service have begun distributing these special "moon tree" seedlings and we're thrilled to announce that our amazing 4th grade educatores, Shay McDonald and Brian Droege, have been awarded one of these prestigious loblolly pine 'moon tree seedlings"! This makes Kay Granger Elementary one of only 50 institutions selected to receive the first round of these incredible moon trees!
A sweetgum moon tree seedling will also find its new home at the University of Texas in Arlington near their planetarium and at Texas A&M University outside their physics building. As announcements roll out, it looks like UTA, TAMU, and Granger Elementary may be the only lucky recipients in Texas!
We’re deeply grateful to be stewards of this beautiful tree, connecting our community with humanity’s exploration of space. Stay tuned for more updates!
