My bio will be published in the National Judicial College publication, as follows:

I worked as a bailiff for an Oklahoma County district judge in Oklahoma City while I went to law school at night. The judge I worked for went to the NJC every year. When I got my law degree, I eventually became a full-time municipal judge for Oklahoma City from 2013 to 2016, and the judges were required to go to the NJC. The NJC was very professional for the entire time I attended. Training at the NJC was 10 days, and I enjoyed being at the University of Nevada, Reno, where the NJC is located. My spouse, Cheryl, came with me, and we were able to do some traveling on the weekends. I enjoyed seeing some of the sites around Reno and other places. Prior to becoming a full-time judge, I was a special judge by contract for Oklahoma City from 1995 through 2013. I was also a contract administrative law judge for the Oklahoma Department of Labor from 2000 to 2013. When I left Oklahoma City as a full-time judge, I again became an administrative law judge for the Oklahoma Department of Labor. Professionally I am a business litigator and trial attorney. The NJC was a very positive influence on me, and I learned a lot there. It was good to hear excellent professors and talented individuals who had served as judges for many years share their experiences in court. It was an honor to serve for so many years as a judge in various capacities, and the NJC helped make my experience in serving people even more responsible and generous. I believe serving is the highest honor.
