The inaugural E!CS basketball team played their first game last Saturday! Thank you, Coach Campbell and Coach Manny, for building our Athletics program!
We kicked off the K-4 Fall Festival with our annual Vocabulary Parade! Explorers dressed as their favorite vocabulary word to join the fun. Congratulations to our top three Explorers! 🏆
It's harvest season in the garden! Explorers are enjoying the fruits (and vegetables) of their hard work!
Last week, Explore! hosted our first Social/Emotional Learning Night! Explorers and their families rotated through different SEL stations gathering new tools and resources. A special thank you to Small World Yoga, Empower Music and the Martha O'Bryan Center for making this event possible!

Our 3rd Annual Latin Night was a HUGE success! Nearly 500 members of our community joined for a fun night of traditional food, dancing, and music. This event continues to grow each year!
We closed out the first quarter with Spirit Week! Happy Fall Break, Explore!
Explorers in grades 5-8 took field trips this week to the National Museum of African American Music to learn more about the cultural significance of these musical genres and the impact on our community!
The Book Fair is in full swing! Thanks to the generosity of our community, every Explorer has the chance to shop for a new book. The Book Fair will also be open tonight from 5:00-7:00 PM during Latin Night!

Explore! 4th graders spent the last two weeks bringing figurative language to life through Southern Word's Residency Program. Parents and staff gathered in the Library as students showcased their hard work with a Poetry Slam. We are so proud of our 4th grade poets and grateful for a fruitful partnership with Southern Word!
Cash was introduced to breakdancing through Construct during his Kindergarten Passions program two years ago. Our long-time community partner, Construct, is a street styles based dance studio here in Nashville. Now in 2nd Grade, Cash joined his Construct teachers on WKRN News 2 "Local on 2 Live" yesterday to showcase their youth breakdancing program! We love seeing Explorers find and pursue their passions.
