When you’re a bulldog and you prefer to be dirty and you get a bath, you throw a bulldog hissy fit.

Nov 2 update: working through contacting and screening the many people who have reached out. Please be patient as I work through making contact with everyone between work and the Fort Wayne dog shows this week.

Not every dog we keep as a puppy is cut out for show life or is happiest living in a multi dog household. For those dogs we start searching for families of their own to spoil them.
Sparkle (18 months) and Rosé (3 years) are looking for new families before the holidays.

Both are spayed, and crate trained. They are well socialized, sweet girls and good with kids. Rosé would do best in a quieter home.
No cats. Larger dogs or male bulldogs dogs would be okay. No small dogs.
Sparkle does okay with car rides. Rosé stresses out for them a bit.
NE Indiana.
Modest rehoming fees, in line with spay cost.

“Crate trained” as in “used to a crate in case of emergency”.
Even if you abhor the idea, it’s a humane choice to acclimate your dog to the idea of a crate. You never know when an emergency might come up.
Those who do utilize crates as part of a dog’s lifestyle typically find they come in very handy.

Why you should consider buying a purebred puppy 06/08/2021

Why you should consider buying a purebred puppy Why would someone who has been rescuing dogs for 30 years buy a dog from a breeder?

Bubbles and Merlot's FCAT photos from Perry, GA. If you can't tell, they LOVE it!

Bulldogs were bred to be highly efficient bull baiting machines. Their stocky bodies were good for keeping them grounded against a bull's best efforts to launch them into the air, while their loose skin worked almost like a shield to protect their vital organs. Their face wrinkles served as channels, moving blood down their faces and out of their eyes, and an undershot jaw pushed their bottom teeth up, giving them a better grip. Short snouts allowed them to breathe properly while holding onto a bull’s snout, and smaller back legs meant the dog could be shaken without sustaining any spinal injuries. In summary, the dog was an aggregate of bull-defeating features. Some said the dog barely even felt pain. Today, they are the companions we have fallen in love with!
