AED Team
Supplier of lifesaving equipment for everyday superheroes.
Here’s a little peek at what we keep in our AED rescue kits! 👀 ⚡
With schools reopening across the US for the fall semester this month, we wanted to share the top things we consider when equipping schools with an AED:
- Easy Maintenance
- LCD Display
- Durability
- Ease of Use
🍎🏫
It only takes a few extra steps, but it’s important to know how to safely use AEDs around water 💧
Just to clear up any confusion! 😉⚡
First responders often have complex needs when it comes to equipping their teams with AEDs. These are some of the qualifications we look for when recommending an AED for Fire/EMS:
- High drop test rating
- High IP rating
- Cross-compatibility
- Advanced technology
When it comes to sudden cardiac arrest, saving lives should not come down to luck. When Allison Shok and Richard Shok spoke with Greg Page last month, they discussed how AED access plays a role in this.
Earlier this month our team was hard at work transferring another shipment of AED enclosures to our warehouse. That’s a shipping container full of 400 locked and non-locked enclosures, ready to be deployed anywhere in the US!
We are so excited to finally release our mini-documentary, Revived on the River!
Joe Ellis's journey from layperson, to SCA victim, to passionate advocate has been inspiring to us all at AED Team.
We are so honored that he has joined our team and that we could support him in sharing his story with the world.
We hope you will take a few minutes to watch Joe's inspiring story ✨
“Doctors kept coming in to see me... they'd introduce themselves and say they just wanted to see the guy who was carrying his own AED."
Hear Joe’s story, premiering July 17th
From our conversation last month, Greg Page talks here about teaching kids about cardiac arrest through song.
AED Team owners Allison Shok and Richard Shok recently chatted with Greg Page about visible and memorable AED signage!

Securing Tomorrow: The Role of Grants in AED Accessibility by Karen Perkins, MD Recently, while staying in an Airbnb nestled in a quaint Tasmanian neighborhood, I was struck by the sight of an outdoor Automated External Defibrillator (AED) enclosure stationed prominently near the driveway of just six houses. I found it reassuring that even in this rural are...

Understanding how to use AEDs - and having access to them - can save lives. This week we will be sharing information about AEDs and their importance, as well as celebrating individuals and organizations who champion the adoption of AEDs in their communities.
Love to see it Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation & Events!!!
🆕📣The City of Fredericksburg has begun a phased process of installing AED devices in City parks and on City trails. Using donations from the Knights of Pythias and from Mary Washington Healthcare, AEDs are now available in Memorial Park, Old Mill Park, W.L. Harris Park, and Alum Spring Park at the Virginia Central Railway Trail.
The AED devices are located in climate-controlled security boxes that require users to call 911 to obtain the access code. By dialing 911, first responders are alerted that emergency services are required, and the caller will be on the phone with a dispatcher who can assist them in the use of the AED. Donations will continue to be solicited so more AED devices can be installed in parks and on trails.❤
An exciting installation!
Notice that yellow box? This is the new outdoor AED enclosure that now resides in the Grandin Court area thanks to AED Team, made possible by a grant obtained by The Compress and Shock Foundation! The Compress and Shock Foundation will host FREE CPR and AED training on June 1 at Roanoke Co+op and in many other locations, please register here: https://www.compressandshock.org/course-registrations
Way to go North Andover Fire Department!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Coming soon to a field near you!
The Town of North Andover is expanding its Public Access Defibrillation Program across all fifteen recreational fields. Each field will be equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest event.
The Outdoor AED Enclosure contains a Heartsine P350 AED, Adult Pads, Pediatric Pads and AED Prep Kit. AEDs will be available from April through October at all field locations.
In the event of a cardiac arrest, a bystander will call 911 and provide their location which can be found on the front of the Outdoor AED Enclosure. The 911 dispatcher will provide the caller with the access code to unlock the box so that the AED can be deployed.
These Automated External Defibrillators were purchased and installed utilizing Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021, presented by the North Andover Health Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department, North Andover Town Residents and approved by the North Andover Select Board in October of 2023.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the AEDs by watching the two manufacturer videos posted below.

Our outdoor enclosures are just that - outdoors! That means they see bugs, dirt, rain, snow, bird p**p, little kid boogers - all of it.
But what's great about the CE-TEK 4000 enclosures is that they are designed to face all those elements and more. With a towel and your favorite cleaning spray, the polycarbonate exterior gets back to ✨sparkling✨ in just minutes!

It’s been two weeks and we’re still just so pleased with the ribbon cutting ceremony that kicked off here in our home city of Roanoke, VA!
Not only were we delighted by the attendance of so many passionate city representatives including the Vice Mayor, but we also were stunned by just how much of our local media turned out to cover the event and spread the message.
We are honored to have been given this opportunity to showcase the value of public access AEDs and continue advocating for making our home city a safer place for hearts. Plus, who doesn’t love seeing their passion project on the news?! 📺

We kicked off with a bang! ❤️🎉
Today February 1, AED Team owners Allison and Rich were proud to host a ribbon cutting in Roanoke, VA celebrating the installation of seven outdoor enclosures at the famous Mill Mountain Star. The project, spearheaded by Roanoke’s parks department in partnership with the Compress & Shock Foundation is a huge benefit to anyone visiting the city’s popular park locations.
We look forward to sharing news media about the enclosures soon! But for now, we want to give a heartfelt thanks to our attendees including Joe Cobb, Vice Mayor, City of Roanoke, Roanoke FireEMS Department, American Heart Association - Virginia, Compress & Shock Foundation and the many more who came out to support.
We were so happy to be a small part of Wisconsin Eagle Scout Logan’s story. Hear about his project as shared to us by his family:
After hearing about cases of athletes suffering cardiac arrest during sporting events, aspiring Logan identified a need for public access in his Richfield, Wisconsin local parks and thought it would make for an excellent Eagle Project.
Logan’s dad is an EMT/firefighter of 20+ years, and when Logan brought him the idea, the concern arose about being able to keep the AEDs in proper working condition in the fluctuating Wisconsin weather.
With no solution coming to mind, Logan reluctantly shifted his planning to other potential projects. But as luck would have it, Logan and his mom happened to be watching the news one night when a segment aired about a nearby fire department that had installed nine AEDs in yellow climate controlled boxes.
After further investigation, Logan presented his project idea to the Village Parks Commission, who asked for just two AEDs mounted to parks concession stands.
But Logan had a bigger vision. He sent out fundraising letters and gave presentations to local organizations hoping to be able to do much more than what the parks commission had asked for.
Logan successfully raised enough money to purchase six AEDs each within a climate controlled enclosure. Three AEDs were mounted to the park concession stands while three more were housed throughout the parks in free standing structures of Logan’s own design. Leftover funds were designated for use by the parks to purchase new batteries and pads, if and when needed.
Logan along with his friends, family, and fellow scouts worked just shy of 800 combined hours and he was subsequently presented his Eagle Scout Award on 12/16/2023. 🎉🦅
----------
We at AED Team are inspired by Logan’s efforts to make his community a more place and we are honored to have been able to work with such a determined and resourceful young leader! Congrats Logan!
