This weekend the kids are spending time with my in laws. I had all of these plans to be productive, to clean up, to check off my to do list. Instead I chose to relax and do nothing.
It felt strange at first, almost like I was shirking some unspoken responsibility. But as the hours passed, I began to relish the rare quiet and the luxury of unstructured time. I indulged in a long, hot bath with my favorite book, something I hadn't done in ages. Later, I sipped on a cup of herbal tea while watching the sun set, its warm hues painting the sky in a serene display.
With each passing moment, I realized that sometimes, the most productive thing one can do is to simply breathe and be. The to-do list would still be there tomorrow, but this precious slice of tranquility was fleeting. I had a fantastic experience educating children about entrepreneurship and business. Some of the kids had clear goals in mind, while others were surprised to discover the importance of making choices in the future.
