Tonight, I voted in favor of Resolution 391 which directs the disbursement of $3 million in ARPA funding towards asbestos abatement and the eventual demolition of one of the worst eyesores in Albany history.

During Pride Month, so many politicians and corporations alike emblazon their branding with Pride colors but come up short with an actual record of standing up for the LGBTIA+ community.

Our campaign doesn't have that problem.

This year, we reflect on everything Andrew has done for the LGBTIA+ and BIPOC communities in Albany County.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️We are celebrating the 7th anniversary of the unanimous passage of Albany County's Restoration of Honor Act. This was Andrew's first local law that he introduced in 2016 that extended Veteran's benefits to LGBTIA + individuals discharged during the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Era.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ In 2021, Andrew was the only elected official in Albany County to call for the resignation of a former Albany County Legislator following hateful and homophobic remarks that were made public. He spoke at a Stop the Hate rally along with members of the Legislature at Rocks in Albany.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ In 2023, Andrew and members of the Albany County Legislature directed $25,000 dollars in grant funding to Albany's In Our Own Voices, an organization that provides critical services to the LGBTIA+ BIPOC community in Albany.

80 years ago today, American and Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy to save the world from tyranny and fascism.
We will always honor their bravery and sacrifice.

Thank you to the Town of New Scotland seniors for inviting me to their weekly luncheon today.
Helping our seniors age in place, keep their hard earned money in their pockets and thrive in their communities has been a priority for me as a County Legislator and I’m looking forward to continuing that focus in the NYS Assembly.

We had a fun time (maybe Willow not so much - it was hot out 🥵) at the 8th Annual Voorheesville Family Bicycling Day right on the Albany County Rail Trail!
Once again we thank Voorheesville Running and Cycling Club - VRCC for their advocacy and a great event. 🚴🍕

Most likely spent too much time goofing off with my new friend Brutus today while campaigning.

Whether it’s hosting pet food drives every Thanksgiving or introducing legislation to reduce operating costs for animal shelters, I have a proven record of caring for animals and our pets and I will continue that compassion in the NYS Assembly.
