👏🏽Meet Ryan Sansevero, a dedicated Field Engineer who has been making waves in our region.

Ryan's journey into the construction industry began when his brother-in-law, Kyle Setzer, introduced him to Samet. With a background in hospitality and restaurant management, Ryan brought a wealth of customer experience skills that translated to the field.

From the start, Ryan embraced a "jump right in" mentality, becoming proficient in project management and field operations through dedicating time to Samet University trainings. For him, the most fulfilling part of his job is the camaraderie of his team, the ability to teach and educate, and feeling respected in his role.

Outside of work, Ryan is actively involved in his community. He coaches softball for the Mint Hill Athletic Association, inspired by his daughters, and continues to play in the CLT adult baseball league. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, especially with the recent addition of a new baby and indulges in his hobbies of fishing and playing golf.

Ryan’s advice to others is simple yet profound: "Fail, fail, and fail again. I've fallen a thousand times, but I've gotten up a thousand and one times. Failure is a part of learning and growing."

We are proud to have Ryan as part of our team, where his dedication and positive attitude continue to inspire and serve those around him.

✏️ It’s officially season!

Over the past month, our project team at Oro Ballantyne collected school supplies to support the men and women on site with them every day.

Thanks to generous contributions from trade partners, the team distributed 75 backpacks!
With the remaining supplies, the team helped two teachers stock their classrooms and support a local community ministry serving at-risk youth.

🚗 🎉 The East Rosemary Street Parking Deck is now open to the public!

Funded by the Town of Chapel Hill and in partnership with Grubb Properties, this seven-story deck adds 1,100 parking spaces and 20 EV chargers for those who travel to, work in or visit downtown Chapel Hill year-round.

We enjoyed celebrating and contributing to this major milestone alongside designer Perkins&Will, community partners, and many other Town of Chapel Hill representatives and are proud of our project team for delivering such a stunning facility.

We look forward to seeing how this deck transforms the downtown experience in Chapel Hill!

🌊 Topping Out at Coral Bay Club, Atlantic Beach!

Last week, we celebrated the of the new Coral Bay Club with Kersting Architecture, Peridot Interiors LLC, our incredible trade partners, and members of our local first responders!

To commemorate this milestone, a seashell was passed around and placed in the rafters of the ballroom, serving as a time capsule filled with good wishes for the future of this facility. The new 38,000 SF club replaces the original 1958 building and will be a premier beach club and event venue, designed to stand strong against the harsh coastal environment for the next 50+ years.

🎉 Exciting News! Last Wednesday, we celebrated the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Helen Monroe Preschool – the newest addition to Greensboro Day School. This state-of-the-art educational facility features indoor classrooms, an outdoor breezeway, a “multi-sensory” playground, and other spaces designed to nurture the growth and curiosity of our young learners.

As part Greensboro Day School’s $25 million “Be Bold Comprehensive Campaign,” this preschool will be a cornerstone for the social, emotional, and intellectual development of preschool-age children. We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to build and grow with our community! 🌟

✨📚 Claxton Elementary's doors are open for the 2024-2025 school year!

Yesterday marked a special day as students, parents, faculty, and school board members came together to celebrate the grand opening of the new and improved Claxton Elementary School. Claxton is the first of six schools to be rebuilt under Guilford County’s bond package, providing a state-of-the-art learning environment for over 560 students. This modern facility is set to inspire and nurture the next generation for years to come, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of it!

Looking back at our work on the Bishop Gadsden Healthcare Center in Charleston, SC! This state-of-the-art, two-story facility spans 161,000 SF and features:

✅ 64 skilled nursing units
✅ 32 memory care units
✅ 32 rehabilitation units

Designed to provide top-tier care and comfort, the center includes resident activity spaces, four dining rooms, a bakery, and a full-service kitchen. Residents enjoy serene courtyards, a rehabilitation gym, nursing stations, lounges, and office spaces. Equipped with advanced features like partial oxygen, 100% generator backup, a 4-pipe chilled/hot water system, and a Wander Guard for enhanced safety, the Bishop Gadsden Healthcare Center truly sets a new standard in healthcare excellence.

🚒🏗️ Exciting News from Kernersville, NC!

Beeson Crossroads Fire Station 26 is complete! This one-story expansion and renovation now boasts 9 bunk rooms, 6 baths, a gym, laundry, day room, mechanical rooms, 1/2 bay, offices, community/training room, and storage areas.

The project also includes a 7,325 SF renovation of the existing building.

A huge thank you to our dedicated team and partners for making this vision a reality. Here's to supporting our brave firefighters with top-notch facilities!

🚒🔥 Training in Action at Resurgent Mixed Use!

Earlier this month, our project team hosted several Fire Stations for an exclusive training session on the buildings slated for demolition.

Pictured here are firefighters from stations 14 and 57 in action, cutting into the roof of the standing building. Throughout the day, more stations rolled in, taking full advantage of this unique training opportunity.

But that's not all! We have two more buildings lined up for demo, promising even more invaluable training sessions for our local heroes.

We’re honored to share that the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) awarded Samet its 21st consecutive Golden Safety Award last month! In addition to this, we received the prestigious 5 million Hours Award, signifying an impressive milestone of 5 million hours worked without a lost time incident.

This recognition reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety across all our projects and an uncompromising stance on Safeguarding Families on our operations. We are immensely proud of our dedicated team whose diligence and hard work have contributed to this outstanding achievement.

We are excited to share the newly constructed High Point Christian Academy Gymnasium!

This project spans approximately 16,800 SF and features a state-of-the-art design to enhance athletic and spectator experiences. This pre-engineered metal building, seamlessly integrated with brick matching the existing structures, boasts a peak ceiling height of 26 feet.

Inside, you'll find an NCAA regulation-sized basketball and volleyball court with two cross courts, bleacher seating for about 800 spectators, and top-tier amenities including LED scoreboards, a cutting-edge sound system, and pregame accent lighting.

The new gymnasium marks a significant advancement in High Point Christian Academy's infrastructure, underscoring the school's commitment to growth and excellence, providing students and the community with a premier venue for sports and events.

It’s been a busy past couple of weeks out at Matthew Fire Station site!

✅ CMU Walls for the apparatus bay are finished
✅ Steel arches are installed above the openings for the overhead garage doors
✅ Slab on grade is poured for the east bay of the building
✅ Preparations for metal framing are underway

✨ 🏢 We’re quite excited about our latest project for The Prospect!

Located in the vibrant Gold District of Charlotte, North Carolina, this mixed-use development is the perfect blend of luxury and modern living.

This project features five levels of wood framing atop a robust three level cast-in-place concrete podium, complemented by an integrated parking deck. Spanning 244,648 SF, The Prospect offers 11,500 SF of retail space and 304 residential units.

The front tower, constructed with Type I concrete, houses additional residential units and a stunning rooftop deck that provides beautiful views of the surrounding area. With its prime location and thoughtfully designed spaces, The Prospect is set to become a cornerstone of the Gold District community.

📢✨ Ello House, Charlotte's latest multi-family development, has proudly earned the National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Silver Certification!

This prestigious recognition is awarded to buildings that meet rigorous criteria for sustainability, energy efficiency, and overall environmental performance. Benefits of this certification include reduced energy and water consumption, lower operating costs, and improved indoor air quality.

Located in the vibrant South End neighborhood, we completed the construction of this new 6-story office building for Marsh Properties. This 286,620 SF office space features first-floor restaurant and retail spaces in addition to a three-story parking garage.

After finalizing the base building and parking garage, we completed a 15,000 SF upfit and made the 4th floor our new home.
