Our Story

This page has history about our 6-year run hosting US Nationals in Oceanside, CA and now tracks/promotes high-profile USA racing events including the annual US Nationals of Slalom. In 2017 the Nationals hosting torch was passed to Cape Fear in NC, then Colorado in 2018 and now to Cascade Slalom Association in Salem, OR Aug 3-4 2019. Hopefully at some future date we can bring Nationals back to California - meanwhile, we help out where we can.

The Legend of La Costa Lives! The La Costa Open was first held in 1975 and with the many races that followed - is the longest running skateboard race in the world. In the tradition of the La Costa legacy - the 2016 US National Slalom Championships marked the 6th year of bringing the legendary roots together with the modern era race scene. Presented by Sk8Kings, So Cal Racing and La Costa Boys - these annual events were sanctioned by the ISSA (International Slalom Skateboard Association) and are an important chapter in the history of modern day racing.
