We did it. Today we partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace and dozens of other Foundation Supportworks dealers to build beds for children in need in our community!

A beautiful hillside home was experiencing a fairly significant amount of movement where their 8 inch concrete slab driveway met the garage. The sinking was getting so significant it became difficult to move their vehicles in and out of the garage.

Some photos of a concrete lifting project we did in Hayward.
By the time we were called to help, the garage floor had sunk a few inches lower than the driveway. The homeowners were worried about the possibility of people (including themselves) tripping over it, as well as the eventuality that the garage floor problem would get bigger.
In a few hours on Monday, May 22nd, Our Concrete Restoration Crew lifted the garage floor by injecting Polyurethane Foam beneath it. After the lift, they sealed the joint between the driveway and the garage floor.

I had an interesting encounter with a cashier at a local Supermarket yesterday. I was buying gift cards for our crew members who had received 5-Star Yelp Reviews for a job well done.

You may say that the cashier shouldn't have been talking about this with me, but I was personally glad that she did. It was a mini-talking-shop conversation. It reminded me of the importance of making sure that the people who work for and with you need to feel like they matter, like their effort matters.

This home in Berkeley was originally built in 1918. In it's 105th year of life, it is currently being remodeled. When we first visited this home, the left side of the home was significantly lower than the rest of the building. We measured that the left side foundation was 14 inches below the reference point of the front door.
We're happy to help with the remodel of this historic building. We are currently in the process of building a new, level foundation with Simpson Strong-Tie products to help reinforce it against earthquakes.

Please stay away from the creeks, Arroyo’s and adjacent trails as the California Department of Water Resources is currently conducting a High Flow release from the Del Valle Dam.
At 12 p.m. today, the Department began releasing a 500 cubic feet per second flow of water from Lake Del Valle into Arroyo Valle. Flow will continue to increase up to 2,000 cubic feet per water by 4 p.m.
