So, a quick story, I just HAD to wear mine tonight, and to no surprise, God used it to minister to me and our youth girls small group…the reminder that the chains we carry around, afraid of what others may think or past mistakes we’ve made, or impossible circumstances, they are not ours to carry friends. 🙌🏻 Jesus’s sacrifice broke those chains and gives us FREEDOM to walk in His mercy and stand on His promises… and praise God we don’t have to earn God’s grace…we don’t have to identify with our failures, we are washed by His blood and we get to try again! “I can’t count the ways that I’m not enough, but thank God, oh thank God, Jesus is!”🥲🙌🏻🤍

Life has been so busy but so full! We’ve had a great homeschool year so far, I’ve picked up another job that I’ve always had a place in my heart for, and seizing every moment I can with our Senior this year! Feeling a sweet connection to our Creator this morning that inspired me to pray a blessing over my friends here. 🌻 (I’d send ya all flowers if I could!!)

Heavenly Father, I pray that my friend reading this experiences Your presence today in an undeniable way, in a way that they feel so seen and known. I pray that something, or many things in their day, will bring a smile to their face, just like my own experience with your creation this morning! I pray that Your voice is the loudest voice they hear today, reminding them of the love, purpose, plan & GOODNESS, that You not only have for them today, but every day since their very first breath. Lord, please help me to be more like you today than yesterday, and thank you for the gift of another day!! 🙏🏻 In Jesus name…love ya SO MUCH! Amen!

I was reflecting back over the mountain of wisdom I’ve obtained over the years, a lot of which I rarely take quality time to look back on honestly! I guess writing it down is my one shot of making it stick 🥴lol, but I came across this note. I have no idea where I heard it or where it came from, but it stood out enough for me to write it down, and reading it was like hearing it for the first time. The words carried conviction & grace all at once, and it was a beautiful reminder. I deeply desire this…to be an echo of my Creator and His grace, goodness and love in my thoughts and my speech. I created this image to keep me motivated and to hopefully be an encouragement to anyone else who may need it! 🫶🏼

For anyone going through something hard today, I just want to remind you to walk in FREEDOM, not defeat… the kind of freedom and grace you have in Christ that will always deliver hope. Romans 15:13 You are NOT defeated in spite of how defeating a situation may feel, you have the promise of HOPE, and the Lord will always provide power & strength in our weakness. Don’t allow yourself to surrender to discouragement or hopelessness. Don’t abandon the Spirit residing in you, for the flesh that will always fail. You aren’t made to manage everything and everyone, Your Creator sees all and knows all, and I pray you feel His strength and His presence in all of your circumstances today. Let Him control, let Him intercede, let Him carry you through.🫶🏼

I personally have 3 of these 😬🥴 but my family uses them all the time, for everything under the sun! Things I didn’t even think I would use them for. Hauling things to Lubbock, taking food places, piling up with groceries, carrying things to games, all things Sunday morning, and even throwing a trash bag over one when we needed a trash can! 🙃 Sprayed it down, sanitized it, and we were good to go! 😂 If and when they get dirty, you just rinse it off with water or wipe it down…super easy! Plus, they’re really durable and stand up, instead of collapsing every time you sit them down. You can even change out the straps if you want a different look, and if you really wanna get fancy, you can get one of their amazing organizers/inserts that are a total game changer!🤗

💛FRIENDLY PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT 💛

Before I had my own business, it was easy for me to misjudge the prices of things people would sell. Being on the other side of it, I feel the need to resolve any misunderstandings, in the instance you may be like I was.

The work of owning a business and trying to make any profit in the end is highly undervalued. HIGHLY. I had no idea what all went into it, but let me tell you, any small business or boutique that is surviving needs a BIG pat on the back. 👏🏻 What some customers don’t realize or may think about, is the mark up of items they are interested in buying have to cover the cost of a lot that you don’t see. How wonderful it would be if that was pure profit!

Unfortunately, it’s very far from that. The price you see covers the product of course, then you’ve got to account for the time it took for that person to design/write up/upload & manage website/package (I’ve yet to get paid for this part 🤷🏼‍♀️), any postage (it’s usually more than the amount charged but not always), taxes (here’s a big one you don’t know if you’ve never owned a business) and I’m talking self employment tax that takes a significant cut out of your profit, not to mention the cost of gas when making local deliveries, or anything extra we try to do to make our business extra special, like custom packaging or those fun cute mailers (that I love btw). Oh, and can’t forget those stealthy little fees that can manifest into hundreds, if not thousands that we pay anyway for our customers convenience. 💛 (and our own if I’m being honest) My point is, it all adds up.

Being all the things for your business is gratifying, but friends, it takes a LOT and can be flat exhausting. So, when I watch people looking at my boutique telling another customer what that item cost wholesale, because they’ve bought it wholesale from someone else, which is great, or saying there’s no way they would pay that, man, that a tough one. It’s a little gut wrenching and discouraging. Please know that I understand, I’ve been there, and your money is also hard earned & should also be valued. And there’s no doubt that there are those out there pretty much robbing people of their money, but I promise you, I’m not one of them. You would be amazed at how little of that price tag actually goes into the wallet of a lot of business owners. It’s a hustle and you have to have passion behind it, and even more so for me a greater purpose, or it’s all for nothing. I have to remind myself of these things and trust me, I’m a bargain shopper when I can, major bargain shopper, but I encourage you to please take into account all things considered… and if you don’t agree with the price, maybe open your own cute little shop and tell me how you do it for less! ♥️ I would genuinely love to know!

In saying that, we couldn’t do it without our customers, so for those who support us, thank YOU. 🙏🏻♥️ I love me a happy dance! 😘

I was working with my son on school today and we’ve been talking about God sending John the Baptist ahead of Jesus to spread the word that the Savior would soon be coming, and that he was even given the honor of baptizing Jesus. After repeating this story multiple times over the last week, I’m feeling confident we can at least get “John” out, so today we’re driving along trying to review…
