Dave produced a number of patented film recorders for ultrasound, nuclear medicine, digital radiology, computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MR). Dave was also a founder and CEO of KDH Systems - creators of the first electronic chart in the UC system for the UCSF Emergency Department.
