I spy with my little eye THREE Belton School District #124 schools on the 2024 list (including our very own). Congratulations to Mill Creek Upper Elementary School and Kentucky Trail Elementary School on this much-deserved recognition for programs showing character.
2nd grader Cole got to ride to school in style on Tuesday - thank you, Cole, for helping raise funds for our PE Program through the Walk-A-Thon and to Officer Hepner for the ride!
Congratulations to the 2024-2025 class of Wilckens STEAM Academy National Elementary Honor Society members. We are so proud of their recognition and continued scholarship, leadership, responsibility, and service.

FIELD DAY IS TOMORROW (THURSDAY) - here is some important information.

Dear STEAM Families,
As we look at the weather, we want to ensure a positive, safe experience for students, staff, and volunteers on Field Day. Here is a revised plan for Field Day at STEAM:
Field Day - Field Day is being moved to Thursday, May 23, 2024. This looks like the best day for outdoor activities due to forecasted inclement weather.
Inflatables - Our inflatable provider is not available on Thursday of this week. Instead, the inflatables will be placed in the gym on Friday, May 24, 2024. Students will participate in the inflatable activities during specials.
We understand this could disrupt your plans to volunteer, and we apologize for the inconvenience. However, we want to ensure a safe experience for everyone involved. If you are unable to volunteer, please reach out to Coach Ryberg at [email protected].
Dr. Pearson and Dr. Winkelmann
We have an exciting week at STEAM! Between our Walk-A-Thon, Field Day, and Talent Show, we are full of fun!
Thank you City of Belton - we love our big machinery visits!
Do you recognize these? Let us know if they belong to your student - thanks!

Choose kindness… like this sixth grader helping his kindergarten buddy get to the bus. It was raining at dismissal and he was using his instrument to try and keep him dry. Have a great weekend!
Due to the threat of possible severe weather, the PTO meeting is canceled for tonight.
Stay safe, Pirates!
