Man what a FUN weekend the East Coast boys had at the Crystal coast wood bat World Series (CCWBWS ). Unfortunately not everyone could make it to the beach afterwards but this is what it’s all about. Good baseball and great friendships! Next up… 11U baseball! LETS GO EAST COAST!!!

Congratulations to Richie Racobaldo Crystal Coast wood bat home run champ with 24

A big THANK YOU to all of the tournament staff, grounds crews and umpires with the Crystal Coast Wood Bat World Series! We were one of the fortunate teams where weather didn’t impact our weekend games, but we were here for the fellowship and fun at the beach anyway! Great competition and looking forward to coming back next year!

This is a very familiar post over the past year. TLP 10U Red wins the Gold Bracket at the Crystal Coast Wood Bat World Series going 6-0. What a way to end their 10U season. They ended the spring/summer season with a 36-2-3 record with only 1 loss to an opposing 10U team and finished their 10U year at 54-3-3. Such a great group of players, parents and coaches that totally believe in each other. No doubt that it's a we over me mentality from 1 thru 10. Super proud 10U Red! Keep working hard! TLP⚾️💪

As we put a bow on the 2024 CCWBWS in Morehead City we would like to share a few thoughts and some things that were shared with us throughout the weekend.

First and foremost, thank you to the staff and volunteers at Swinson Park, Western Park, Eastern Park, West Carteret HS, East Carteret HS, Croatan HS and Swansboro HS who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend to play as much baseball as feasibly possible. They are great partners who help make the weekend run.

Secondly, as a tournament organization that runs over 200 events annually in NC and SC we can assure you that we are tasked with making some difficult decisions throughout a weekend like we just experienced. We do not take those decisions lightly and they are thought out for ALL 64 teams and not any specific age group or division. There are an endless amount of logistical details to organize and execute and with a weekend like we just experience often within a very short window of time in the early hours of the morning. If you know anything about or organization or our staff you know that we give 110% to be as fair and equitable as possible for the entire event.

Lastly we will share some words of wisdom that hit directly for this weekend. As you travel with your family and your team family to a tournament such as CCWBWS or another destination, take the time to enjoy the car ride, the conversations, the team dinners, the time on the beach, the time watching the kids play off the field and the various other activities off the field. These are short and brief moments in a baseball players life and time that you can’t get back. To put a little different spin on a quote, “baseball is important but sometimes the little things are importanter.”

For those of you who enjoy the event, we look forward to seeing you in July 2025.

All the best - CCWBWS Directors and Staff

Teams, we've had a lot of inquiries in regards to the HR Derby on Thursday. That event is run by the local Little League programs which do a great job every year and the $25 entry fee goes directly towards benefitting their programs. Please review the HR derby fields in the tournament schedule link for ideas on field distances. Moving any age groups up to hit will be determined by the Little League program at that time if needed. Players can swing any tournament-approved, age-appropriate bat in this event.

There's nothing like waking up to a day of Baseball. Especially if you're at the Crystal Coast. Over the past 30 or so years, as a coach and tournament director I've been around a lot of tournament venues and can say the people in Carteret County who partner with this event are truly in a league of their own. I am honored to have worked with you these last 14 seasons. There are too many of you to name here yet you are the back bone and the life blood of this event and I thank you for your dedication and friendship. You can be Proud of what you have built and here's to many more years to come! Best of luck to everyone with All League Baseball (USSSA) going forward!⚾
