Thank you to Indian Hills Christian Church for packing September 20, 2023! Thie week BPK Danville is serving 130+ students. These students are PK-12th grade and are students at KSD, BCSD, and DISD. If it weren't for our volunteers and generous donors, this program would not exist.

Thank you to Jimmy Smith with Atmos Energy for your organization's donation to the BackPack Kids Danville program! With your donation, alongside other fundraising efforts, it helped us purchase our most recent order. It is a blessing to have your partnership to help fight food insecurity for Danville Independent and Boyle County Schools, as well as KSD. We know our kids are thankful for you!

Did you know we do inventory every week on our pantry to help determine needs on a 4 week rolling inventory?

We are so grateful for the donations that have been sent. This is truly a community effort that continues week after week. Without the partnership of our countless volunteers and generous donors, both individually and within church congregations, as well as local businesses, this program would not exist.

It was an amazing day here at Kroger in Danville, thanks to everyone who supported by purchasing food, making cash donations, or offering words of encouragement and prayers! 4 carts were filled, 2 by direct purchase donations and 2 filled by the monetary donations. It was sweet to watch these young humans learn how they can make an impact by donating a little time and sharing information about a local non-profit! What is even sweeter is knowing that some of their classmates and families will directly benefit from the communities kindness!?!

Thank you to Mary and Julie for collecting food items for BPK during the month of February. They will continue collecting cereal boxes through the end of March. 😄 We are so grateful for our community’s support.

Come out tonight and cheer on Boyle vs. Danville. We will be collecting food items at the game tonight and will continue collecting donations thru their next game in February with collection bins being located at both high schools. Hope to see everyone there!

This week we are excited to be getting help from BCHS for our packing. There are over 200 family bags being packed that they will be putting together for us. Thank you for helping serve!

BPK is so appreciative of our community partner, LaFayette Engineering, for its donation to feed food insecure students in Danville and Boyle County for one month!!

Thanks to the wonderful community support we receive from partners like DOE, we can help alleviate food insecurity among our school-aged children.
