For the Art Korner "Skinny Art Show" in July. It's 10"wide x 20"tall. I'm creating all the fountain pen line work first then I'll add loose watercolor. It's on the same product I posted about previously... hot pressed watercolor paper stretched like a canvas.

Baby Dragon! Cryptid, Myth and Legend.

In a land of magic, mystery, and lore,
Lies a lusterous egg, not seen before.
Cracks appear, a tiny head peeks out with glee
A baby dragon emerges, ready to be free.

A cute little Cryptid from the UK seen in the early 1900's.
Although there are varying descriptions, try to fill in the blanks from my sketch...

Plein Air Tuesday - did the drawing and inking at Luthy Botanical Garden. Painted the color at home outside today using my reference photos I took Tuesday.
This is a very interesting flowering bush -- The flowers emerge a deep purple, then gradually turn to almost pure white!

Plein Air Tuesday. Wanted to be outside, but the wind had other ideas, so stayed inside to paint.

Panthers are Cryptids because they’re seen many places they shouldn’t exist. Even in Illinois!

Flying frog or baby dragon?
Cryptozoology Cryptid, or maybe it's just a whimsical animal?
Either way I think he's CUTE! 😁
