A little-known scaled down replica of Agecroft Hall sits overlooking the James River in Goochland county. It was built in the 1990's by the founder of a highly successful ad firm. We did the exterior a few years ago. The detail on the pvc carvings is impressive, and a perfect replica of the windows on Ageceoft Hall. They were scanned at Agecroft, digitized, and milled.
Just catching up on posting pictures from recent years. We’ve done 26 exteriors on Seminary Avenue. We are the only ‘River City’ paint company actually owned by a City of Richmond resident, native. Established in 2003, with 35 years of experience. We are an intentionally small company, operating almost solely through word-of-mouth referrals for the last 20 years.
Highlights of the last year. More to be added.
Recent work: finishing up most of the interior of ‘Panorama’ a colonial revival built by the last private owner of Stratford Hall, located in Montross, and some plaster repair done in Ginter Park
This house near University of Richmond had all the glazing completely redone. We pull storm windows off from the outside for better access, prime before glazing, and let everything cure for at least 10 days before painting.
Happy Fourth, Richmond!
Restoring column capitals, Monument Ave. The owner "Wanted to see the cherubs smile again". They were encased in 1/8 to 3/16 an inch of paint. We stripped them, using heat and dental picks strengthened the brittle clay/composition mix with a solvent based fortifying product. This is them in process, primed with oil based primer. Now we're rebuilding them with different types of epoxy paste and epoxy clay, so final pics to follow. The client wanted to see the smiles of the cherubs, which we were thrilled to deliver. Devon M. Allen deserves credit for doing 90% of the tedious work here.
