Junior High School Supply List 2024-25.

ATTENTION: 2024 West Prairie 5th - 8th graders that are interested in Cross Country - optional practice will be starting soon. Coach Percy will be getting a practice schedule made and it will be posted.

High School Football, Junior High Baseball and Softball will be starting practices soon. If your student is interested in participating, there must be a current physical on file.

WIU is hosting tennis camps July 9-11. Camp will be $30 for one session or $50 for two sessions.

Tuesday July 9 - 6th grade and below 8:30-11am
Wednesday July 10 - 7th-12th grade 8:30-11am
Thursday July 11 - Doubles for all ages (adults included) 8:30-11am

West Prairie CUSD #103 will be holding a Silent Auction for all surplus school furniture and other miscellaneous items. The silent auction will be held Friday June 28th from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday June 29th from 8 a.m. - Noon. Pick-up time for items won will be Tuesday July 2nd from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. The sale will be held at the 18575 E 800th St, Sciota and will be cash only.

Students entering 5th-12th grades who will be participating in sports must have a current sport/school physical on file before practices begin.
If your student is entering the 6th and 9th grades the required school physical form is acceptable.
Physicals must be current in order for your athlete to participate in any sport:

WEST PRAIRIE GIRLS BASKETBALL CAMP. July 8th - 11th 6-8pm at the Jr/Sr High School in Colchester. This camp is to introduce girls to basketball and learn basic skills of the game while having fun! Camp is for incoming 2024 West Prairie girls 1st - 5th grades. Registration deadline is June 10th. Camp cost is free. T-shirts are $20. TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER West Prairie volleyball skills camp will be held for incoming West Prairie students grades 3rd-8th. Camp will be held at the Jr/Sr high school gym in Colchester June 17th-20th. Forms can be picked up at the Elementary Schools, the Jr/Sr High school or printed from below. Cost of the camp is $35 per person and $25 for each additional sibling cost includes a T-Shirt. Registration forms and payment must be received by Friday, May 31st. Forms can be turned in to the office secretary at your school, dropped off or mailed to Jr/Sr high school, 600 S Hun St., Colchester, IL 62326. Congrats to the West Prairie Trap Team on completing Class 2A Tournament Week 5 Competition last week. Our top male athlete was Brigham Gray with a score of 47/50 and our top female athlete was Maya Hofmeister with a 37/50. Most improved from Week 4 are West Markham and Charlee Kindhart. The top 10 competitors of the week were:

The Cyclones finished the spring season in 5th place for Class 2A competition. In the male individual division, Mikey Kitch was ranked 18th. In the female individual division, Maya Hofmeister was ranked 13th, Kenadie Webster was ranked 21st, Alisa Wilson was ranked 24th, and Kaylee Jackson was ranked 25th. The Cyclones advance to Class 2A State Competition Sunday, June 2 at Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, IL.

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION (2024 Freshmen class) will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd, at 6:30 pm in the Media Center. This will be an opportunity for students and parents/guardians to review graduation requirements and what classes the students will be taking their first year of high school. We hope to see you there!

8th Grade Promotion is Tuesday, May 28th at 6:30. The ceremony will be held at the Jr/Sr High School Gymnasium.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL game yesterday was suspended due to weather. Boys will travel back to United today to finish up the game. Game time 4:00pm. Bus time from Jr/Sr High School will be at 2:00pm.
