Mohamed Mashally died yesterday, the "doctor of the poor", he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1967 with 110 cm laude, Dr Mohamed Mashally had been visiting the poor in his city in Egypt for over 50 years, Muslims, Coptic Christians... he did everything for free, in his modest clinic, he also gave money to his poorest patients to buy medicines and charged (less than a dollar) in exchange for patients who were financially well. Dozens of patients lined up every day in front of his humble clinic where Dr. Muhammad worked 10 hours a day from 9am to 7pm to treat the largest number of people.
Muhammad Mashali never owned a car not even a cell phone. He walked from his house to the clinic on foot even though he was over 80 years old.
When one of the rich Gulf gentlemen heard about his story, he gave him $20,000, he also gave him a car to move around, but after a year, upon his return to Egypt, the rich man found out that Muhammad had even sold the car to help his patients poor, even to buy materials, analyses, Muhammad Mashaly said: After graduating I found out that my father sacrificed his whole life to become a doctor. Then I promised God that I would not take a penny from the poor and live a life in the service of my neighbor culture or religion. A man who dedicated his whole life to saving lives and helping anyone in need. May the earth be light for you ❤
O Blessed Face of my kind Savior,
by the tender love
and piercing sorrow
of Our Lady as she beheld You in
Your cruel Passion,
grant us to share in this
intense sorrow and love
so as to fulfill the holy will
of God to the utmost
of our ability.
Amen.

St. Peter Julian Eymard, whose feast the Church celebrates on August 2, helped many Catholics - both clergy and laypeople - to rediscover the importance of the Eucharist. He is also considered a pioneer in involving laypeople more actively in the life of the Church.

Down through the ages, skeptics have asked whether praying to “Our Father … in heaven” is consistent with our belief that “God is everywhere” and that He dwells within us (cf. Jn. 14:16, 23).
Yes, God is everywhere, on earth as He is in heaven. He is always present with us, and He lives within us when we are in the state of grace, free of mortal sin. Yet Jesus teaches us to pray to “Our Father … in heaven” because He wants us to lift our sights from our earthly exile to our true home—in heaven. Saint John Chrysostom said it well: Jesus taught us to pray this way not in order to “limit God to the heavens,” but rather to lift us up from earth and set us “in the high places and in the dwellings above.”
God made us for Himself; He made us for heaven. Heaven is separated from us not by light-years of space, but by our sins. Yet God Himself created our place of exile, and it’s a good place. Thus, it’s easy for us to get comfortable in our earthly lives and to forget our eternal destiny. Think of the Israelites wandering in the wilderness; after a few years of hardship, they grew nostalgic for their years of slavery in Egypt, where at least their bellies were full.
We, too, can think that way. When earthly troubles close in on us, heaven’s promises seem unreal and remote. When we fix our gaze on the near horizon, envious thoughts, resentments, and greedy impulses seem to make sense to us. After all, if we follow their enticing logic, maybe we can grab hold of the things we want right now.
The remedy to this, of course, is to set our sights on high, to heaven, our promised home. By God’s mercy and power—by His fatherhood!—He has promised us great things. Now we live in a state of grace, but then, when we are with “Our Father … in heaven,” we will live in a state of glory. Now we are His temples; but then He will be our Temple (cf. Rev. 21:22). Now, He lives in us; but then, we will live in Him.
Though we’re not home yet, God the Father is with us, and He has the power to lead us through the desert and across the Jordan. Though we have a long journey ahead, He is always in our midst.

PLEASE PRAY FOR POPE EMERITUS BENEDICT XVI
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI is suffering from aggravated kidney failure and had a recent modification to his pacemaker, an informed Vatican source has told the Register.
The source said Benedict XVI has been experiencing “kidney failure which has worsened in the last few hours.” The source added that the 95-year-old Pope Emeritus had a modification to his “pacemaker about a month and a half ago to regularize his heartbeats” but stressed that it was unrelated to his kidney failure.
The Vatican has yet to confirm his exact condition but confirmed on Wednesday that Benedict had experienced a sudden decline in his health, is currently stable and under medical care.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.❤️
