KIDS Musical Theater

Call me crazy but Tech Week is my favorite part of the process. At KMT the artistic directors dream for about 3 months of what the show will look like, we do our best to rehearse the cast to a point they are ready for the stage, we work with sets/props/costumes on the assets that tell the story and those 4 precious Tech Rehearsals are where the true magic happens. We walk in to the theater that first day on the shoulders of all our volunteers who have worked tirelessly to bring our ideas to reality. Each one of their efforts are paint brushes for us as we bring it all together for a magnificent masterpiece! This first Tech rehearsal is where we get to push our creative juices, dream an appropriate amount🤣, and learn new ways to express our visions. In the industry this is referred to as Hell Week, and it may feel that way at times but this is that moment where all the planning, wishing, hoping and big decisions come together to ultimately let these amazing KIDS of KMT tell their story!
