The Dept. of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at UNL features geology and meteorology/climatology. The program offers B.A. and B.S. degrees Geology, B.S. and Ph.D.
The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln encompasses an array of disciplines related to the study of the solid earth, the hydrosphere, and the atmosphere. degrees in Meteorology-Climatology, and M.S. degrees in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. The department, housed in Bessey Hall on UNL’s city campus, has 26 faculty members, around 60 graduate students

An edited book, "The Nebraska Sandhills", has just been published by the University of Nebraska Press. The book is a series of short essays on the landscapes and peoples of the Nebraska Sandhills, past and present, and it is beautifully designed and illustrated with hundreds of photos. Sheri Fritz is one of the editors, and several other EAS faculty, including Erin Haacker, Adam Houston, and Dave Loope are among the authors. For locals, there will be a book signing on Friday, April 5 at the bookstore, Francie and Finch (130 S 13th St, Lincoln), at 5:30 pm.
