We shared a special relationship, with the Navy as my father is a Navel Veteran. He made it home, to his last place. Here in Tennessee. Ringgold & Catoosa County are well known for honoring local veterans with crosses and flags each Veteran's Day and Memorial Day. This year, volunteers are needed to help maintain this time honored tradition. Nearly 2,000 crosses and flags are posted, and the folks who have been doing the lion share of this through the years could use some help - especially younger folks, who can keep this tradition going through future generations.

9-year-old Nala presented a $100 donation to sponsor 4 adoptions (on sale for $25 through September 13). She raised the money by making crafts with tie-dye, bath bombs, sculptures and then sold them online and at the Catoosa County Farmers Market.
Nala says she'll work even harder to help take care of the shelter animals and find them good homes.
