Together, A Future Without Limits. In 2002, 80 fifth graders walked through the doors of our first middle school in Newark, New Jersey.
KIPP Newark schools are part of the nationally recognized “Knowledge Is Power Program” non-profit network of college preparatory, public charter schools educating elementary, middle, and high school students. KIPP Newark has since grown to teach over 6,000 students in grades K-12 in Newark and will eventually grow to enroll 7,000 students across 15 schools. KIPP Newark alumni earn college degrees
Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, honoring the end of slavery in the U.S., and the day the news of freedom finally reached Galveston, Texas. Together, we honor Black history in our classrooms and organization, working together to continuously build a more equitable society.

Congratulations to Ah’Ziiyah (Class of 2024), who organized the first student-led Entrepreneurship Fair at KIPP Newark Collegiate Academy! Participants learned about a variety of businesses founded by current and former Panthers.
Shout out to Mr. Teichman and Mr. Esteban, who were named STEM co-teachers of the year! As Department Chairs, they aim to ensure instruction in our science and math departments is grounded in data, engaging, and on the cutting edge of national educational trends.

Big news: KIPP Newark Collegiate Academy seniors Quentin Lewis, Lisbeth Gil, Menelik James, and Oscar Grenados have been awarded full-ride scholarships to four-year universities through the The Posse Foundation, a nonprofit that identifies and trains rising student leaders.
Quentin and Menelik will attend Davidson College and Lisbeth and Oscar will be heading to Cornell College!
