All summer long we will be featuring UIC Hall of Famers on Throwback Thursday!

Today we're highlighting UIC Men's Basketball Alumni, Cedric Banks.

Banks is one of the most decorated players in UIC Basketball history. He was a gifted scorer who snaked through defenses to create an open shot. He led UIC in scoring each of his four years and left his mark as the career points leader with 2,097.

The Windy City native was twice named to the Horizon League All-Tournament Team and led the Flames to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances. Banks was named the Horizon League Tournament MVP in 2002, and chalked up second-team NABC All-District honors in 2005.

Swimming & Diving's Gabby Richards is getting to experience the Summer Olympics as part of an incredible study abroad opportunity with UIC!

Students get taste of Paris and Summer Olympics | UIC today Among the thousands of athletes and fans converging on Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics will be nearly three dozen University of Illinois Chicago students, there to see the City of Light and the centuries-old games as part of a two-week study abroad program.
