MFPC congratulates our members that did a wonderful job representing themselves, our club and the South region and the USPC Championships in Lexington, KY last week!! It was very exciting to be at the horse park while USPC celebrates the 70th Anniversary and the 15th Festival! 💙❤💛💚

Sarah and Hayden earned 6th place in Quiz on a scramble team from California. Lucy May took individual 1st and Elin earned 4th in their Tetrathlon division. Suzanna pulled double duty volunteering in Quiz and helping coach Lucy May and Elin for their stadium rounds.

We are all cheering on and wishing luck to our four MFPC members competing in the USPC Championships this week! They join 27 other members to represent our club and the South region. Lucy May and Elin are competing in Tetrathlon and Sarah and Hayden are competing in Quiz. Suzanna is working on the Quiz staff as well. Stay tuned for more pictures of this exciting week!

Our members can do it all!
They had so much fun competing in their first Tetrathlon rally and killed it!

Our teams placed 1st and 2nd overall!!! All their practice and preparation paid off big. Team 2 (Jennifer, Suzanna, Lucy May, Hayden and Taylor) also won HM with only 2pt off the entire rally!!! Team 1 (Tessa, Alex, Mary Chapman, Sarah and Elin) were also very strong earning 3rd in HM. Way to go!

Our club co-hosted this rally and we all thank Dorothy and Matt McDaniel for organizing us to successfully pull off the shooting and running phases as well as the building of the beautiful gate and slip rail for the jumping phase. Great job on a fun weekend!

Lots and lots of ribbons!!

Wow! What a great kick off to rally season in the South region. The weekend started with a rainy move in day for Show Jumping rally, but our members were ready. MFPC had eight members compete. One complete Midland team and 4 members scrambled with several other clubs to create two more teams. Our members earned 2nd, 3rd and 4th in Horse Management out of ten teams.

MFPC members have been practicing hard for the rallies coming this weekend! The South region is holding its first Tetrathlon rally in over 15 years. These kids have had a lot of fun learning about this USPC discipline. They will competing in show jumping, cross country running, swimming and shooting. We are all excited to see all their practice pay off this weekend!

A huge thank you to Sandra and Eric Uptagrafft, 2012 USA Olympic pistol and rifle team members, for generously offering their time to teach our members more skills for their shooting. Thank you Rhonda Bright, USA world Championship pistol team member, for donating several weekends to introduce this sport to us. Thank you to our very active DC, Dorothy McDaniels, for mapping out a running course for everyone to practice and to Matt McDaniels for building the beautiful obstacles for the rally. 💪

What a weekend full of Pony Club fun! Members had the opportunity to learn about and practice several fun sports that Pony Club offers. Tetrathlon, Games and Vaulting.

Big thank you to the Eartles for providing ponies and instruction for our members to learn Games, Matt McDaniel for making the fabulous Tetrathlon gate and slip rail and Rhonda Bright for instructing our members on using air pistols. We have such a great community teaching and supporting our members!

A huge thank you to our very own Mary Chapman for leading our meeting today on horse show grooming tips! She did a fabulous job showing her favorite products and the the attention to details she does before entering the show ring.

Also, big thank you to Alex for helping another member by being the examiner for Hayden today. Congratulations to Hayden on earning her D3 HM certification!!

It was a cold day, but everyone took a turn practices their shooting skills. MFPC is going to be ready for Tetrathlon rally, thanks to Matt McDaniels 🏆

Today was a perfectly beautiful fall day at the Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens. Thank you to everyone that bought a square to support our club's annual fundraiser. The money raised helps us continue to provide a quality program for some really hard working kids. This event teaches our members how to approach and talk to people directly, sell a product, work as a team and to take responsibility to raise money for the program they benefit from. Thank you to Bryan Weldon for his leadership in helping today be such a success. Also, thank you to all the members and families that came and helped sell squares, provide ponies, set the pen and man the tent. A huge thank you goes to Midtown Provisions for sponsoring our event!

It was a beautiful successful day for our club, but heart are heavy for many. We are keeping Travis, Ruthie and Martha in our thoughts and prayers.

MFPC members had fun today learning how to shoot air pistols (one of the phases of the pony club discipline of Tetrathlon). Thank you to Matt McDaniels for teaching them how to shoot and the safety factors involved. Our members also enjoyed a great dressage lesson from Sophie Redmon (B level member of Milton pc).

Congratulations to Suzanna for be appointed as secretary to the South Region Youth Board!

We were so excited to welcome new riders to our open house meeting last Sunday. Members enjoyed instruction from Melanie Smith and our own Tessa, Suzanna and Alex! We had six different groups take lessons!!! Thank you to Kate May for generously allowing us to use your lovely facility.
