When the weather is pleasant, it's ideal to explore and engage in outdoor activities. Our group went on an adventure, cast our lines, and caught four crabs, all while basking in the sunshine.
It all started with a simple game of "Would You Rather...?" and ended with a once-in-a-lifetime experience high above the clouds. Thanks to the dedication of our department heads and the incredible support of our Marketing Director, Brittany Trahan, we made it happen!
A huge shoutout and an abundance of gratitude to Owen's Flight Training Academy for partnering with us to make this dream a reality. 🙌
Flying high were some of our beloved residents and staff: Nurse Hazel Batiste, along with Ms. Romona B. and Ms. Jean D.; then up went Ms. Regina R. with Mr. Melvin F. and Mr. Harold S.; and finally, Ms. Christie B. with Ms. Medra S. and Derek R.
One resident, Mr. Harold S., holds a special place in our hearts. A former helicopter pilot for the United States Navy, he served our country with honor for three years, six months, and twelve days (1970-1973). After his military service, he continued to pursue his passion for flying with PHI from 1973-1985. For Mr. Harold, being able to soar through the skies one more time was an experience he'll never forget—a lasting memory that he'll cherish forever, thanks to Eastridge.
Moments like these remind us of the importance of creating joy and lasting memories for our residents. We're so grateful to everyone, especially Mr. Ed LeBoeuf and Owens Flight Training, who made this incredible adventure possible! 🌟
