- mean that you have to miss the whole event! We have various shifts both before and after, so you can still socialize and get your ice cream on, too.
- commit you to volunteering for subsequent events (this a one time commitment, promise!)
- require that you have any prior knowledge in the complex workings of crafting the perfect ice cream sundae

Volunteering for this event will:
- Gain our heartfelt thanks for stepping up to volunteer for the first school-wide event of the year
- Allow the entire WSES community a chance to have a yummy treat and socialize at the end of a long week

We are looking for four volunteers to assist with school supply pack distribution on Monday, August 12 from 5 - 7pm in the gym. Students will be helping to label, sort, and deliver supplies to the classrooms.

Did you know that you can go ahead and order your child's school supplies for next year NOW? Save yourself time, energy, and money and place your order by June 25th to have your supplies sent directly to the school to be distributed at Open House in August!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The WSES PTA will be sponsoring the program "A Walk In My Shoes" and is seeking parent volunteers for the event on Thursday, June 6th from 11am-2pm in the school gym. This program is designed to foster empathy and understanding by allowing students to experience the challenges faced by individuals with different abilities and conditions through activities. You don't need to prepare anything- all materials and information will be set up for you! The four stations available are ADHD, Dyslexia, Motor Processing, and Food Allergies.

A 30-minute Zoom session with the program founder will be held the night before to review each station. If you're interested, please sign up and note your preferred station under your name.

Not only will we be discussing normal business, we will also be electing our PTA board members for the 2024-2025 school year.

It is very important that we have as many current PTA members as possible present at the meeting in order to have a valid vote. Join us TOMORROW, May 10, from 6 – 8 p.m. at our annual, free, PTA-sponsored event to celebrate our wonderful Mighty Mustang community. Activities will include carnival games with prizes, selfie photo station, DJ, inflatable obstacle course, cake walk, and more! The event is open to all WSES students, staff, and families. You’ll be able to purchase your dinner at one of the local food trucks we are bringing in for the event: Uncle Fred's BBQ, Empanadas De Mendoza, Himalayan Soul Foods, and Paradise Ice Cream. This event will happen RAIN or SHINE!
