June is “Men's Mental Health Month”. The goal is to shine a spotlight on the stigma that often surrounds men's mental health issues. This stigma can prevent men from seeking help when they are struggling emotionally or psychologically.
🖤
Societal expectations of masculinity, which often emphasize strength, stoicism, and self-reliance, can create barriers for men in acknowledging and addressing their mental health concerns. As a result, many men may suffer in silence, fearing judgment or appearing weak.
🖤
Men's Mental Health Month aims to challenge these stereotypes, promote open dialogue about mental health, and encourage men to seek support without shame or stigma. By addressing and dismantling the stigma surrounding men's mental health, we can help create a more supportive and understanding environment where all individuals feel empowered to prioritize their mental well-being.

Positive vibes for little minds!

I am brave.
I am strong.
I am smart.
I am resilient.
I am loved.
I am going to have a good day.

Positive affirmations are short phrases that help kids focus on their strengths and believe in themselves. Last week at the Campbell City School District Summer Day Treatment Program we focused on how we are all unique but each one of our differences are what make us one big community.

Check out our puzzle that we created. Each puzzle piece represents how unique and special we all are. Although we are all very different we are all connected as one!

Sometimes we make ourselves feel smaller so people don’t feel burdened by our big feelings.

But here’s the thing: your feelings are NOT a burden. We’re so lucky to be sharing this space with you. 💙

If you’ve relapsed, whether from an eating disorder, self-injury, substance use, or another form of self-harm, know that you are not a failure. You now have the opportunity to take what you’ve learned and try again.

Chances are the next time you try quitting will be easier than the first time. The worst thing to do is to give up hope. Don’t give up hope.

As we’re winding down our work in the orchard we can’t help but be reminded of how resilient these trees are. And yet here they stand, some of them 60 years later.

If you’re struggling in this season we want to share something that was shared with us & encourage you to reach out to someone because you can make it.

“The only way out is through.

Life is filled with challenges, setbacks, and moments of self-doubt. During these times, it is essential to draw inspiration from the world around us.

One such source of inspiration is found in the simple yet profound example of trees. Trees lose their leaves each year, facing a season of apparent vulnerability. Nevertheless, they stand tall and resolute, waiting for better days.

Trees, despite their majestic presence, go through a cycle of change each year. In our lives, we too experience moments of loss, whether it be in our careers, relationships, or personal goals.

It's important to understand that just as the tree's leaves will return in spring, better days can come to us as well.

Trees do not bow to the challenges of autumn; they do not wither away in the face of adversity. Instead, they remain firmly rooted in the ground.

This steadfastness is a powerful lesson in perseverance. When we encounter setbacks or difficulties, it is crucial to maintain our resolve, to remain grounded, and to weather the storm with the knowledge that better days will come.

Just as we must wait for better days, trees wait for the right conditions to bring forth new leaves and fresh growth. This waiting is not passive but filled with the hope that the future will be brighter.

In our own lives, we can learn to wait patiently, knowing that our efforts and resilience will be rewarded.

Trees also teach us the significance of adaptability. They respond to the changing seasons by shedding their leaves, conserving energy, and waiting for the right time to grow anew.

In our lives, the ability to adapt to changing circumstances is essential. Learning from our experiences and making necessary adjustments enables us to flourish once again, just as the trees do.

The metaphorical lessons we can learn from trees are powerful and universal. When we feel like we are losing or facing challenges, we can look to the resilience of trees for guidance.

By understanding the season of loss, embracing resilience and perseverance, practicing patience and hope, and being adaptable, we can navigate life's ups and downs with grace and strength.

Just as trees stand tall and wait for better days, we too can emerge from difficult times stronger and more resolute, ready for the spring of our own lives.”

The NAMI Walk is an annual event organized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness to raise awareness and support for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. Participants come together in communities across the USA to walk and show solidarity in the fight against stigma surrounding mental health. 💜

It's a powerful event that not only promotes understanding and acceptance but also raises vital funds to support NAMI's advocacy, education, and support programs, making a meaningful impact in the lives of those living with mental health challenges. PsyCare supported our local NAMI walk this past weekend!!

Happy October 1st! 🎃It is time to embrace the spooky season, but remember, mental health doesn't have to be scary! 👻🧠⁣

This October, let's shed light on the importance of mental well-being. Just like ghosts in the night, our inner struggles can seem daunting, but with support, understanding, and self-compassion, we can banish those fears!⁣

🕷️ Don't let anxiety creep in like a spider in the shadows. Seek help, talk to friends and loved ones, and know that you're not alone.⁣

🕸️ Remember, it's okay to ask for help when you're in a dark place. Therapy can be a lantern guiding you through the maze of your mind.⁣

🦇 Together, we can make mental health less scary and more manageable. Let's break the stigma and spread the light of understanding.⁣
