At HHP, we know the importance of working on proprioceptive skills. This is the ability to know where your body is in space without looking. Someday, these same kiddos will be driving cars and pushing pedals without looking at their feet. As adults, we rely on this sense in so many ways. For some students, this sense develops effortlessly while others need additional practice. Teaching the “whole child” includes activities such as this video. It’s such a privilege to work with these great kids!

We advocate for and value each student’s capacity to grow and achieve using developmentally appropriate and captivating lesson plans, giving them a wide variety of opportunities to express themselves and develop as whole children.
Our vision is to create a learning community where each child is loved, respected, and honored for his or her capacity to thrive and grow. We use our gifts to prepare each child for kindergarten while balancing academic curriculum with social and emotional nurturing. We’re forming a foundation on which each student will build his or her education and future.
At Hearts and Hands, each student learns and discovers the world and develops the social, emotional, character, and cognitive skills necessary to build positive self-esteem and to be successful in elementary school and beyond!
