Second grade had an amazing walking field trip. They even had ice cream with some community helpers!

Our second graders had an awesome time learning about and touring Worden school. They also got to hang out with their future classmates from Midway School!

Tomorrow (Tuesday), please send your student with their device AND their charger.

These are the memories that will last a lifetime! 🐾

Yesterday students had a wonderful STEAM day! We spent the day learning about science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Thank you to all the visitors that came and made the day extra special!

This week we had a visit from the Mobile Dairy Classroom. Students learned about the importance of dairy products and where they come from!

Every Friday we randomly pull three HOWL tickets from the paw wall. We celebrate these kiddos at morning meeting and they each get to pick from the treasure box. Here are some of lucky winners from the past couple weeks! 🐾💙

Last week, the whole school participated in a bus evacuation drill! Students were reminded of bus expectations as well as rehearsed what do to do if there were ever an emergency while on a bus.

Today we are celebrating National Schwa Day! Mrs. Ferguson, Hamel’s reading teacher, is meeting with all the students to teach us more about schwa’s than we ever thought we would know.

If you’ve never heard of a schwa, they’re fun to learn about! Once you do, you’ll learn that the word pajama has two schwas in it so we celebrated by wearing our own pajamas!

We came. We conquered!
