Event Alert!! Opening Reception Thursday, September 12, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Academy Square, 33 Plymouth Street, Montclair, NJ

Studio Montclair, Inc. is proud to host Evolving Origins and Liminal Perceptions, an exhibition of work using the luscious medium of cold wax and oil by Donna Grande. 

Donna Grande is an artist for whom “nature lives inside of me”. “Pastels, oil and cold wax enhance the dialogue between surface and underlying structure and give each piece veils of color to which luminosity and subtlety occur.” Her work is not just meant to been seen, but experienced.

Last day for State of the Art 2024. Are you as sad as we are?
102 of our artist members have work on exhibition in this year’s State of the Art.

State of the Art 2024 is our annual member exhibit, featuring the work of artists from throughout the United States in a great variety of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, photography, and installation. It encompasses pieces ranging from eight inches to five feet, and stylistically includes work running the gamut between abstraction and hyperrealism.

Our Window is full of the later-life portraits of the players of the Negro Leagues — on view through July 19, 2024.

The artwork is by Richard Berg, co-founder of the Negro League Baseball Players Association (founded 1990).

It is only very recently that the baseball statistics of the Negro Leagues have been recognized by MLB and officially recorded.
