If you love what you do then is it really considered work? Well, there’s certainly physical and mental work involved in helping retirees worry less about their money, however having a passion for what I do makes it enjoyable at the same time.
Helping prepare people for retirement isn't about scaring them with ideas such as one day they’ll run out of money. Most people won't actually fail like this. They'll just experience different lifestyles due to forced spending changes if they don't have a proper income pathway.

One of the reasons savers are investing in Roth’s today is due to the SECURE Act law which requires retirement accounts to be withdrawn in 10 years for non-spouse beneficiaries.
I spoke with WFMY News 2 about the importance of diversifying your retirement savings accounts, and more.
Why you shouldn't put all your retirement money in one basket (or egg, in this case!) Experts say, you need a scramble, a Roth IRA along with either an IRA or a 401K.
I have devoted myself and my firm to helping people plan for retirement by taking an education first approach. Being known for this, I often teach at local colleges and share financial tips on local news stations to help them educate savers on important matters such as social security, retirement preparation, and the benefits of using a decision-making process such as the Retirement Compass®

This is a picture of my dad holding my oldest daughter Ava, capturing one of my favorite life moments.
Looking at it today reminded me of just how fast time goes by, take a picture and the world around you changes and just that fast. My oldest daughter is now 15 armed with a drivers permit. My dad passed away June 2023.
It also reminds me of the poem, The Last Time. I don't remember the last diaper I changed, the last midnight bottle I made or the last night I rocked my child to sleep. But I did those things and I have those and many more memories to last my lifetime.
I don't recall the details of the last conversation I had with my dad, the last thing he did or said that made me laugh, or the last piece of wisdom he shared with me. But I'm thankful that he did and that we made the time to create those memories.
Today is a reminder to me of how fast life goes by. To me the most important part of this life is to make time to create memories for ourselves, those we serve and with those we care about.
Make it a great week!

Current and historically low income tax laws are set to expire in 2025. As a result, these taxes will very likely increase.
Do you have a plan for how to mitigate your tax liability on retirement accounts?
I’ve developed a written GamePlan to help address costs such as taxes, fees, insurance premiums and unearned interest. Contact me today to learn more.
Gavin and I are flying back from Orlando after a weekend of soccer fun.
It was wet and rainy in “sunny” Florida but great memories were still created.
30k foot thoughts 💭
If we look, we can learn and be impressed by anyone at any age. This weekend I saw commitment to a common goal with zero regard to weather and other less than desirable elements.
They’re just kids now but these boys have everything it takes to be leaders in a world that will always offer them obstacles before winning in life.
I was reminded to celebrate goals reached and to support those around you when things go sideways.
And most importantly, to keep the passion, keep pressing forward and keep looking for new opportunities to score.
In my 20 plus years of helping retirees worry less about their money, I’ve learned that most people want to keep things simple, safe and secure. The Retirement Compass® Process attacks cost such as taxes, fees, insurance premiums and lost interest first, versus taking on uncomfortable amounts of risk.
I developed a written game plan called the Retirement Compass® that will not only help you clarify your vision of retirement but also help you use and enjoy your money while still sleeping soundly at night.
