It was a truly brutiful (brutal/beautiful) fall photo season! As always, my clients were amazing and continue to be the reason I love this job. I’ve been photographing a lot more families with teens this season. And dare I say, it’s been really FUN and not all that different from photographing toddlers! 😉
Fall photo season is wrapping up! It’s been a doozy from a technology failing perspective. Always exciting when your G drive corrupts…still hoping the data recovery specialists can save everything. Grateful always for incredible clients and a job that allows me to schedule shoots around my kids insane sports schedules 🤪 Have a beautiful Thanksgiving week everyone!

Posting newbie pictures to calm my soul. This antibiotic shortage is fraying my nerves.
What a blessing it is to have a sick kiddo and know you can fill a prescription for a medication that will help heal her quickly. Not being able to find it is breaking my heart. Mama bear rage is no match for the Walgreens pharmacist. Will be going pharmacy to pharmacy today to find Cefdinir…if you have any advise on where to go I would be so grateful!

We made it to November! Some of my latest sessions have been with tweens and teens and I’m just gonna say it…I love them! Toddlers will always have my heart, but man teens are fun when they’re not referencing things that make me feel ancient and out of touch.

There’s something so special about photographing a single friend. No kids or husband to distract, or group of friends to hide amongst. It’s just you, being vulnerable and trusting me-which I don’t take lightly. For an hour you chose you and that probably meant quieting the voice inside whispering a million reasons not to do this.
I think about the impact of these shoots and my hope is that decades from now you’ll look back with a profound sense of pride and contentment for who you were in this moment. “Fueled by gangsta rap and coffee.” Love you LK

Digging deep on parenting this week. Anyone listen to Glennon’s podcast where she interviewed Dr. Becky Kennedy?? 🤯 Immediately bought her book. Feels a little like starting over 11 years in, yikes 💔 But I have so much hope that doing the work to connect now will pay dividends in the end. Cannot recommend listening to those two episodes with Dr. Becky more! Meanwhile, back to editing…
