An excessive heat warning has been issued in the Los Angeles region today through Wednesday, July 24.
The City has taken immediate action to protect and assist Angelenos in staying cool.

As the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) warns of a returning HEATWAVE, starting tomorrow (Friday), the City of Los Angeles WILL open dedicated cooling centers at 10am (until 9pm) in FIVE locations, thru Wednesday, July 24. Los Angeles Public Library branches are also for cooling; many REGIONAL branches offer Sunday PM hours to avoid the heat.
