Spent the day yesterday flexing my upholstery skills! Recovered some 15+ year old dining room chairs that had seen countless holidays, celebrations, and meals. I used commercial grade upholstery fabric now that my clients have a whole generations of grandkids to spoil 🥰

January always brings the reorganization and clean out bug 🐛 to my designer soul. It’s also good to set aside a routine yearly/monthly/weekly where you go through items you don’t need/use.

This closet had a tall dresser inside but the pre-teen’s organizational style just wasn’t jiving with keeping things “neatly” folded. So we chatted and figured that hanging clothes was a heck of a lot easier on the pre-teen and his mom!

Dress shirts to the left, tees and long sleeve top right, pants and shorts bottom right. Plastic drawer system to the left has underwear, socks, and swim attire. Flat drawers on the bottom have PJ shirts and bottoms. To the back left is a bookcase for toys, games, and ties. Bottom middle is plastic shoe boxes stacked with bigger sized shoes.

Ready for the new year refresh? Sometimes it’s as little as a new curtain rod and curtains!

Decided to go with something a bit more modern and moody for Christmas decor this year. Ironically I matched up some clearance Halloween ribbon with antique sleigh bells and greens with hints of gold berries. And just…wow 😍

Saturday October 2nd from 9 am-2 pm I’ll be at the Alden Place development Driveway Craft Fair! I’ll be located at 1006 Great Hall Drive and I’ll have LOTS of goodies to sell. I will have everyday, fall, and Christmas decor!

It’s been an insanely busy summer with lots to do and tons of projects that I’ve been working on. August was the busiest with my crowning achievement being a WEDDING COORDINATOR! I helped the bride in every way possible to make her dream beach wedding (12 years in the making!) come true.

I scored this vintage library card catalog on Craig’s List for $20, yes $20!!! While it was a popsicle-colored eyesore, her true Beaty was underneath. I restored all the handles to their original brass, stripped off every last ounce of 5 layers of paint, gave her a new top, and mid century feet.

I found these two mismatched pieces between a flea market and a thrift store. Both are handmade antiques who had seen better days. I refinished them in chalk paint with a white wash to match the nursery furniture and other home decor.
