This thanka is of Avalokitesvara.
Dalai Lamas are believed to be the reincarnation of Avalokitesvara, an important Buddhist deity and the personification of compassion. Dalai Lamas are also enlightened beings who have postponed their own afterlife and chosen to take rebirth to benefit humanity.
My favorite quotes from His Holiness:
🔷”Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace."
🔷”The way to change other's minds is with affection and not anger."
🔷”Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck."
🔷”An open heart is an open mind."
🔷”This is my simple religion. No need for temples. No need for complicated philosophy. Your own mind, your own heart is the temple. Your philosophy is simple kindness.”
Compassion is a cultivated practice, we take each moment of each day to practice loving kindness to all sentient beings with each breath we take. It takes awareness, presence, consciousness and intentional action to maintain an open heart- I hope you all will practice a little more compassion each day for yourself.
“Buddhism says the same. When negative emotion develops, we can’t see reality. When we need to make a decision and the mind is dominated by anger; then chances are, we will make the wrong decision. Therefore, compassion and affection help the brain to function more smoothly. Secondarily, compassion gives us inner strength; it gives us self-confidence and that reduces fear, which, in turn, keeps our mind calm. Therefore, compassion has two functions: it causes our brain to function better and it brings inner strength. These, then, are the causes of happiness. I feel it is like that.”
"Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive." "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them."
Let us practice this today and let me know how it goes.

Are you ready? The Blood Full Moon lunar eclipse in Scorpio is on May 15th at 9:14 pm PT / May 16th at 12:14 am ET brings us deeper relationship with truth and wisdom. This energy is powerful and I highly recommend we all spend time in the present moment- meditation and some nature would be ideal.
When a full moon is accompanied by a lunar eclipse — which happens when the earth sits between the sun and the moon and casts a shadow over the moon— the emotional energy is heightened. The energy of the moment is often extremely intense and possibly even overwhelming. All of these elements of a full moon and lunar eclipse come together and it’s in the sign of watery potent Scorpio- check your Scorpio placements peeeps- nuff said.
According to
“An Eclipse is a power surge, a gate of vibrant electro-magnetic, readily available and accessible energy. Imagine floods of radiant molecules that are released as the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth’s magnetic field intersect and fall into perfect alignment. This specific celestial configuration and cosmic synergy creates a window of enhanced energy – one that you can maneuver to gain positive movement in all that you are ready to achieve.
The Eclipse energy moves in a Z pattern, in a diagonal, penetrative force. This cross-momentum allows you to cut through blocks, old patterns, and any mind stream holding you back or limiting you from transforming and rising into the most powerful, radiant, version of your reality.
If you want to get from point A to point B (where you are now to you living the life of your highest, happiest destiny) this Eclipse provides the fast track to getting there.”
Take this time to turn inward, watch what unfolds and ride out any cosmic turbulence that shows up along the journey.
Relax, meditate, take a bath, nap and get out in nature.
Sending you all good vibes- I might offer a class- lmk if you’d like to tune in.

Walking Meditation at the nunnery in Myanmar (Burma Seva Yoga Project with in 2018)
If you don’t know how powerful walking meditation can be- may I remind you..
Walking meditation lowers stress, reduces anxiety, improves sleep, makes exercise more enjoyable, increases focus & concentration, slows you down, helps you get to know your body, great for mental health, helps you connect with nature, lowers blood pressure, expands everyday mindfulness, and practicing being in the present moment.
Walking meditation has origins in Buddhism and can be used as part of a mindfulness practice.
I love to do this in the forest - or known as forest bathing in Japan as “shinrin-yoku.”
.perhaps you might want to walk under the Full Moon in Virgo this week!
The Virgo full Moon is on March 18, 2022, it is a time to heal. It’s a time to sit with our pain, trauma, and heartache and give ourselves love and compassion. Virgo is the sign of the goddess, perfect unto herself. This archetype carries many gifts, but the most important one is the power to heal.
Yoga Journal says, “This full Moon comes to us after a long journey that spanned the past two years. It may bring up many emotions that were not processed at the time they were first felt. Now is the opportunity to sit with these feelings and know that you don’t have to be perfect to be loved. Life doesn’t need to be perfect, and, most importantly, you don’t need to make the perfect decision every time. You also don’t need to regret past decisions or make yourself suffer because of things you could not possibly have known.”
Through healing, this Moon also offers us forgiveness. Forgiveness is one of the hardest forms of release—especially when we need to forgive ourselves. It is essential, though, on the path to manifesting our highest visions.
I’m thinking of doing a Full Moon walk this Friday to Pele’s Chair. DM me if you’d like to go…come and practice with me…
All my love,
Marni
Sunday Sound Vibes for all of you-
Enjoy the present moment and practice impermanence.
IMPERMANENCE- Everything Changes…
Impermanence or anitya, or anicca in Pali, is one of the Buddha’s three marks of existence, three conditions that characterize all of life, and are always present. The world around us may appear solid and unchanging, but even rivers change course, mountains crumble, seas dry up, and stars burn out. The entire universe is in a process of constant flux, arising and falling away. Our brief lives give us the privilege of witnessing this grand procession for just a moment.
So everything changes, and we cling and attach to life, people, habits, thoughts, emotions, knowing that this causes us deep suffering. Even from the cells in our bodies to the plants around us, it is all in a constant state of flux and creation chaos -changing and decaying continuously.
💎Be in the present moment with gratitude and compassion with each breath.
When you recognise and stop trying to control the uncontrollable, you embrace impermanence...
Here are some ways that you can incorporate impermanence:
💎Pause and Take a deep breath to be consciously present in the moment
💎Reframe Positively: ...
💎Start Small: ... be conscious of your thoughts, emotions and attachments
💎Accept Change: ...
💎Embrace Change: ...
💎Recognize You're Growing…
Awareness of impermanence and appreciation of our human potential will give us a sense of urgency that we must use every precious moment.-🙏Dalai Lama
Accepting Impermanence Helps Cultivate Positive Well-Being.
Have a wonderful week.

Looking forward to seeing you-
Full Moon in Cancer is tomorrow on January 17th and it invites you to swim in all your emotional feelings and rebalance.
Cancer is ruled by the Moon, so this one is going to be extra juicy and called a Full Wolf Moon.
This Moon also has an opposition to powerful Pluto, and can be an emotionally heavy one. We also have a Venus and Mercury Retrograde- oh my.
Full moons turn up the volume on your emotions — especially the kind that have been neglected and require addressing, or have buried deep down in the watery emotional body ( feel your second chakra).
For that reason, the full moon drama often stems from people projecting — or, more healthfully, opening up about — their pent-up pain, stress, or trauma.
Be kind to yourself and compassionate. Breath 💕Feel.
Let’s review the sign of Cancer. Cancer is a Cardinal water sign symbolized by the Crab, ii is ruled by the moon itself, which, in astrology, oversees intuition, security, and our feelings. It also rules the 4th house- the home. Cancers are best known for being innately nurturing, sensitive, and spending time in their emotions, this full moon could be particularly intense as you grapple with what's in your heart.
The good news is that because Cancer is the cardinal water sign, it is offering you up a flowing energy that makes it possible to actually do something with how you feel.
So for this Full Moon, feel all the feels, create a water ritual, make some moon water, cleanse your crystals, take a moon bath or swim, release all that doesn’t serve you of your own free will and be grateful.
🙏A cleansing Full Moon release prayer
I am now choosing to cleanse myself and release any and all thought forms, beings, situations and energies
that are no longer of service, to my highest and greatest good…
Across all planes of my existence, across all universes, and across all lifetimes.
I ask that all energies that are less than love be transmuted for the highest good of all.
And so it is. 🙏
Full Moon Blessings to all of you. All my love.

First introduced to the western world in the late 70s by Yogi Bhajan, Kundalini yoga is a combination of breath, movement, and sound. It derives from the Sanskrit word kundal, which translates to “coiled energy.” We all have energy gathered at the base of our spine and, through the practice of Kundalini, we bring that energy up our spine through the seven chakras, and out the crown of our head.
The feminine kundalī means a ring, bracelet, or coil of rope. This concept was adopted as kundalinī into Hatha yoga in the 15th century and, by the 16th century, was used in the Yoga Upanishads.
“The process of growth through Kundalini Yoga is a natural unfolding of your own nature,” Yogi Bhajan has said. “Like a snake, you will need to shed old skins to be more of who you are.” The ultimate goal of Kundalini is to increase your self-awareness by silencing your mind and unblocking your chakras so that your vital energy can flow freely.”
This practice is ideal for the Age of Aquarius- its quick, fast and effective. The ancient teachings of Kundalini yoga were kept secret for a very long time, only taught to royalty and nobility for thousands of years until Bhajan brought it to the West in the late 1960s and began to teach it publicly.
The exact origin of Kundalini yoga is unknown, but historical records, referred to as the Upanishads, a sacred Vedic collection of writings dating back to 1000 B. C., cited the science of Kundalini energy and spiritual philosophies.
In the words of Yogi Bhajan, “The process of growth through Kundalini Yoga is a natural unfolding of your own nature. The blocks to that growth are your attachments to the familiarity of the past, and your fear of the expanded Self. As you practice Kundalini Yoga you will grow. Like a snake, you will need to shed old skins to be more of who you are.”
Come and be part of this unique transformative experience. We are blessed to have Co-Leader facilitators from Great Divine Flow Yoga- Mahanraj Kaur and Mahanraj Singh, Guru Rattana, Dr. Kulvi Kaur and more. This experience is an experience of a lifetime.

We believe there is a unified synergy that occurs when we choose to place ourselves out of our comfort zone and grow through a new lens of exploration. Combine that lust with an intention to discover & heal yourself, and you create an opportunity to transform your life. In order to be whole, we need to be brave, to journey where we never thought possible and to trust in the magic that is about to occur. Find your Om, (your center) while you, Roam and sprinkle a little stardust along the way, we are all here in this amazing experience together.
