Your Immediate Past President, Ria Sharma, says: “HOSA members, I cannot begin to explain these last two years. I am leaving with many skills and a second family I never knew I needed. To my team- thank you for always having my back and for your unconditional love to this organization. HOSA members, you were the driving force behind all of our accomplishments. This year, we hit record membership, and together let’s keep growing. Your passion and dedication makes us love what we do. There are so many memories from this past year that I will forever cherish. Seeing smiles on your face to interacting with each of you, I enjoyed every single moment. I challenge each of you to dare to create new possibilities, opportunities, and beginnings for yourself. I wish next year’s team the best of luck. Thank you, Indiana HOSA.“

This year in HOSA with Team 46 has been an experience of a lifetime. I will cherish the memories I made with the team and my second family forever. Without the support of David, Eddie, and all HOSA members, I would not have had this opportunity, so I want to say a special thank you to all of you! I can’t wait to serve as your State President next year with Team 47.”

As your Vice-President, I have encountered first hand the dedication of this organization, and what it truly means to be a HOSA member. From building a new family, to creating lasting memories, I will forever cherish my time as a State Officer. I am truly grateful for every encounter I have had throughout this past year, as it has led me to become a stronger leader. A big thank you to Eddie, David, and, of course, Team 46! The bond we have created is unlike no other, and I am eternally grateful. Thank you, Indiana HOSA, for providing me with the opportunity of a lifetime. My time as a State Officer has allowed me to grow so much and has turned me into the best leader I can be. Thank you Team 46 for always having my back and being with me throughout this journey. The time we spent together has turned us into family and has created so many memories that I will never forget. Thank you David and Eddie for helping me and molding me to become the best version of myself. I am honored to have served as your State Secretary, and wish Team 47 the best of luck this upcoming year!"

Your Immediate Past Treasurer, Lucianne Funkhouser, says: “The year I spent as an Indiana HOSA State Officer was an unexpected, exciting, whirlwind of a term. I had no idea of the people I would meet, places I would experience, or the adventures I would engage in. With every conference I attended, the members and my teammates made me feel more and more at home. This organization is full of the most kind, generous, thoughtful, and hardworking people I have ever met. I met some of my best friends along the way, whom I was lucky enough to call my teammates for a period of time. I am infinitely grateful that I got to share this with each of them. Anyone with the opportunity to be a part of this organization in any way should. I am not entirely upset that it is over, I equally feel incredibly lucky to have found something that is so important to me that makes it so difficult to leave. I encourage all HOSA members to strive for greatness in all they do, and never be afraid of a challenge. I wish Team 47 a great year full of accomplishments. Thank you, Indiana HOSA.”

Your Immediate Past Historian, Sophia Kroll, says: “HOSA members, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your State Historian this past year. Serving on Team 46 has been a once in a lifetime journey that I will never forget. I had the opportunity to not only grow as a leader, but to forge a second family. I will forever cherish the memories we shared as a team. Through dedication, hard work, compassion, support, and being able to learn from one another we overcame our obstacles and achieved great things. It is hard to say goodbye, but I look forward to what lies ahead. Indiana HOSA, I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors. Keep striving to do your best so that you can achieve your goals, inspire others, and discover your passions.”

I’m so proud of this team for everything we have accomplished, and I’m forever grateful that I got to find a family in HOSA. I cannot wait to see what Indiana HOSA and Team 47 will do in the upcoming year!“

Hey, Indiana HOSA! Our State Leadership Conference is right around the corner on April 10 - 12, 2024 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. This event will feature competitive and recognition events, as well as exciting exhibits from many companies and colleges. We want this year’s state leadership conference to be our biggest and best conference yet!
