Greetings from The Pond! It is with great sadness that we are announcing that The Pond will be closing. Saturday, September 9th will be our official closing party, starting at 11AM.

In the meantime, tonight we have our Thursday Trivia Challenge at 7PM followed by Lower Case Blues at 9:30PM.

And on Friday at 5PM, Hot Sauce Band will be the last band to perform on our stage.

All of us at The Pond want to thank EVERYONE for all your support over the many years. There have been many great times and so many friendships have been made because of chance meetings at The Pond. For that, we are very grateful.

The time has finally come. After 15 years, we have officially closed the book on Petting Hendrix. Thank you to the Crisfield American Legion for that first gig. Thank you to Captain Blue, WZBH, Bob, Lynn, and all of June Jam for helping us put our name out there in the beginning and bringing us back multiple times. Thank you to all of the venues and individuals that have supported us along the way: Starleigh Entertainment, Karen Stevenson, 95.3 “The B” and Riverfest, CC-22, The Steer Inn, Marla and Ocean 98, Cryer’s, Pickles Pub, The Lagoon, Trader Lee’s, Breaktime, Fager’s Island, Seacrets, The Green Stinger, Coconut Joe’s, Layton’s Chance Winery, Wicomico County, Doc Magrogan’s, Harbor Shack, Arena’s, The Greene Turtle, Bill Sharp and the Gray Hare, Fager’s Island, Hooper’s, Jason and the Plim Plaza Caribbean Beach Bar crew for the summer-long stints, Bryan and Conch Island for our first of many Rehoboth gigs, Tami and Crazy 8s for our first stage with house lights and sound, Station 7 for the second-floor load-ins, Fire & Ice at Dover Downs for the fantastic stage and sound crew, but especially for the race weekend shows, Pete, Davey, and everyone at the Pond for going out of their way to always make us feel like family, Ray Nack for his amazing photography, Matt Martel, Tim Cannon, Joe (and Maggie) Ball, John Stitcher, Aaron Hedges and Mark Johnson for running sound, Billy Cooksey for the bad-ass roadieness, Dave Simmons and Spike Bryant for filling in on drums, Mark Marshall and Susan Witchey for always being willing to join us onstage, and where would we be without Marina’s for being the first venue to put their full faith in us. Thank you to Mike and Joe and Jonboi and everyone else at Marina’s for believing in us and helping us get the Petting Hendrix party started. Much love to every past and present Petting Hendrix band member, their understanding families, any venues we may have missed, all bands on the scene then and now, all of the bartenders/servers slinging drinks at our shows, and especially to ALL OF YOU for helping us do something special that many others can only dream of. If we missed anyone that should have been named above, it was definitely not intentional. It has been an absolute pleasure entertaining you for the past 15 years and we love you all! It’s been a great run!

If you haven’t been to Milford’s annual Riverwalk Freedom Festival, you’ve been missing out! It’s so great to see the entire town come together as a community! We had the pleasure of being part of the musical lineup along with City, Bobby Lee Jones and Plead the Fifth, who put on an awesome show to a packed Bicentennial Park to close out the day, complete with fireworks! Thank you to everyone involved in planning the event, to Mark Johnson for bringing us on board, and to everyone who came out to see us!

It was another super-fun night at The Pond Rehoboth on Saturday! What a great turnout for the first weekend of Locals Summer! It was great to see our local friends having such a good time! What a wonderful 4th of July weekend! We spent Saturday evening two states away at Sun Outdoors Chesapeake Bay and were back in Delaware for Sunday’s Independence Day celebration hosted by The Clubhouse at Baywood. It was great to see everyone out and about for the celebrations and fireworks! A special "thank you" to Mark Johnson and Joe Ball for handling sound and Mike Mitchell for assisting with the lights! We hope all of you had a safe and happy holiday weekend and we are thankful we got to be a part of it!

It's hard to believe, but Memorial Day Weekend is almost here! Live Music starts Wednesday with Taylor Knox at 5pm followed by B.J.'s Damn Jam Crew. Thursday we have Lower Case Blues in the house starting around 9:15PM. Friday, everyone's favorite salsa band, Hot Sauce Band, will be perfomring at 5PM followed by The Stims debuting at The Pond. Keeping with Pond Tradition, party dance band Petting Hendrix will be kicking off the summer here at The Pond. Memorial Day Sunday features GirlsRoom at 5PM followed by Tyler Greene & The Friends at 9:30PM.

We're getting ready to bring the party back to the Pond - SATURDAY NIGHT AT 9PM!!!!

This week at The Pond, Mathew Street Band will be bringing some classic rock to our stage on Friday at 8PM. On Saturday, we welcome Rocky Allen back to The Pond. We haven't seen Rocky since pre-Covid and are looking forward to a great with this fantastic Nashville recording artist. And to round out our Saturday night, the ulimate party band Petting Hendrix will be rockin' at 9PM. And, Robin & the Hoods will be keeping the LIVE MUSIC going on Sunday at 2PM.
