Boy-o-boy do i ❤️ Wood Glue.
Sun makes the glue plasticize quickly. Tacky glue holds the stiff upholstery strands in desired shapes and places.
COY FISH LID- #1
"RUE DE TRÉGUIER"
Oil on canvas
Approx. 30" x 27"
This painting was never finished likely thanks to weather and limitations on time.
If what you try to sell in Bretagne doesn't have a utilitarian use, like, plow a field or catch a fish, you might have inventory to stockpile.
---- Why did I not want to be a lawyer, doctor, or BARBER???! 🥸

Treasure’s abound - cher fellow Artists!
Would ANYONE who had an exceptional time visiting Ventura not ‘adore’ taking home a REAL piece of Ventura?
These take a second to make.
[VTA artists make these to give or sell cheap to attract visitors who may purchase the real stuff.]
Although - no sense talking about selling ART when there is NO MARKET IN OUR BELOVED VTA —- yo, w.u.?

"MADAME MUEBREA"
Oil on canvas.
Approx. 18"h x 16"w
🔴
Madame Muebrea owned a gas station in Treguiér.
She also owned a beautiful home where I rented a room she enlisted in Chambre d'Hotes ---- a National Listing of lodging alternatives. [Decades before AirB&B].
I lived here for six months.
François Muebre was as stoic as granite on the outside and soft as undercooked Galette des Rois on the interior. ❤️😄
The poodle's name is Arnold. 🥸

San Francisco is like an Sketching Amusement Park. :D
You may think the neck of “SISTER-IN-LAW” looks like a easy piece of driftwood to shape -
Believe me — you are mistaken!
Hardwoods and burls of all kinds turn up on our beach.
If someone had access to a lab — NOT IN WUHAUN!!! 😳 — a wonderful experience of LAB TRAVELING is certain by identifying origins of wood that washes up.
It’s pertinent only historically.
— Chumash relied heavily on driftwood.
— The health of the West Coast Lumber Industry could once be gaged by the quantities of driftwood coming ashore.
—- I doubt recorded in dailies.
What is it now? / Where does it come from? / Is it radio active? 😳

Projects require time to complete because Life's demands are not easily discarded.
The difficulties overcoming my rusty skills is giving me a new appreciation for HOW MUCH becomes intuitive when skills are honed.
Drawing, mixing colors, pairing colors, tone work, brush work, etc., etc., all become second nature when one is honed.
Scary are results so far!!! 😝

SISTER-IN-LAW’s stone is still absorbing knowledge.
