The last five years of Gilded Leaf Jewelry have been an incredible adventure. The three of us owners have navigated our little business around college and grad school, cross-country moves, chronic illnesses and more. We’ve been both more successful and less successful than we imagined. We’ve laughed, cried, argued, failed, succeeded, and been thoroughly confused. Owning a business can be a headache we didn’t see coming, but there’s nothing like the glow you get when someone finds something you created and loves it even more than you do. That, and getting to make new friends because of Gilded Leaf are things we will cherish.
Over the last few months, we have decided to wrap up Gilded Leaf. The pandemic, and the changing situations of our lives have presented a good time to close out this chapter. But we’ve always had crazy, creative adventures together, and while this has been the biggest adventure so far, we know it won’t be the last.
If you knew us before we started Gilded Leaf, we are so grateful for your support! And if you met us through it, we are so glad we met you. We still love making jewelry, and expect that we will each continue it as a hobby. So if you need something, just let us know! We’re not out of creativity yet. ;)

Our Story
Welcome to Gilded Leaf Jewelry! We’re a local jewelry designer based in Colorado Springs. We sell jewelry at two local locations: Oliver’s Delicatessen and Mailstop Market. Our products:
We make earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and anklets. Each item is handmade, and many of them are one of a kind among our inventory. We primarily use semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, and Czech glass. Please contact us if you have questions about an item! We also do custom orders and alterations (hypoallergenic materials, etc.).
Origins:
The Gilded Leaf was formed in November, 2015 by three longtime friends: Rachel and Grace Barton (sisters), and Elisa Lambert. From drawing maps of imaginary worlds, to spying on nearby pirates (neighbors), to designing and sewing a prom dress from scratch in two days flat, our friendship has often spilled over into creative pursuits. Elisa has a rather bad habit of persuading Rachel and Grace to do crazy things and convincing them it will be fine (cough, prom dress). Our latest adventure is making jewelry together, one that has grown our business skills and deepened our love, understanding, and exasperation for each other. Grace and Elisa currently manage/own Gilded Leaf, although Rachel remains involved.
Our name and logo:
“Why ‘The Gilded Leaf Jewelry Shoppe,’”? you ask. The answer is, we’re not really sure. It just kind of happened to us. Let me tell you, we spent hours in our professional infancy brainstorming names. We were looking for something inspired by nature, and unfortunately all the words had to have “the right colors,” so to speak. We’ve come to embrace our name, although ‘Gilded Leaf’ and ‘Gilded Leaf Jewelry’ work just fine if you’re exhausted saying the whole thing. You’ll notice leaves are a prominent theme in all our jewelry and each necklace has small golden leaf charm near the clasp.
