To ensure the safety and security of our students during outdoor physical education activities, PACE Academy urgently requires the installation of a fence. We have obtained a quote and are seeking financial assistance to cover the cost of approximately $3000. We are grateful for your support and encourage you to take advantage of this tax-deductible opportunity as a 501(c) school. Your contribution will enable us to reach our goal and provide a suitable outdoor space for our students.

PACE Academy weather update: PACE Academy is planning for a regular school schedule for Tuesday, August 6.

Dr. Vaughn and the school’s board will continue to monitor the weather forecast for inclement weather due to Tropical Storm Debby using multiple sources, including the National Weather Service. At this time, forecasted wind speeds and rainfall for our area do not warrant a school closure for Tuesday.

Any updates to the regular school schedule for the remainder of the week will be posted on our school page, social media, as well as reported to local news stations. Parents and employees will also receive messages from our mass notification system.

As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

Good evening PACE Families, We are aware that Governor McMaster has declared a state of emergency in anticipation of Storm Debby. At present, the Governor has directed all agencies to review their policies and procedures. The PACE Academy Board of Directors and I are in constant communication, and we will keep you promptly informed of any changes to school attendance should we need to close due to the storm. Furthermore, lunch menus were distributed on Friday. If you did not receive one, please visit the office on Monday morning to complete one so we can submit our order to the vendor. Kindly note that the price for lunch is $4.75, and breakfast is $2.50. If you have not yet submitted your school lunch program form, please send it with your child to give to their teacher. One form is required per family at PACE Academy. If you have children in other districts, a separate form will need to be completed for PACE Academy as well. We will be sending home a letter to inform you if your child has been approved for free or reduced meals. All lunch fees are to be paid through the EZ School App. New families should receive an email with sign-up instructions. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school. This is our first full week together, and I am excited for all of the children. Our dedicated staff and school board have worked diligently to alleviate some of the first-week jitters and to make transitions smoother for everyone. Have a good evening, and please remember to visit our webpage and social media pages for updates and listen for any phone call notifications regarding potential school closures or schedule adjustments. Sincerely, Dr. Melanie Vaughn
