We'll be doing a partial set tonight, after which we'll be joined by very special guest Michelle Shocked.
Mr. Beery's, 8:00 pm
Yeah. You know you want to join us. Never know what might happen. Might even be a special guest. ;)
Drum roll, please. (Um, Vic?...)
bluerace is honored, humbled, and thrilled beyond words (and music) to have been asked by singer-songwriter
Michelle Shocked
to serve as her band. For one night only. Wednesday, February 15th. 8:00 pm. At the historic Players Club on Gramercy Park South in NYC.
Information forthcoming.
And, of course, we'll be playing a short, opening set of our own.
Love, kisses, and our undying love,

Coming Soon
A little update from blueland: We spent this past weekend on Cloud9, with engineer/producer Joe Napoli and co-producer Jack Napoli, doing what they always do...which is to make us sound better than we really are! Seriously, tho': We laid down the basic tracks for four new songs, and now have ten toward our upcoming, as-yet-unnamed new record. We'll get it finished and out in 2024. We promise. This one...has been a long time coming. (Thanks, f'ing COVID. You f'ing scourge.)
Anyway, we love every one of you, and thank you for thinking of us and listening with your wonderful open ears.
Thanks so much to everyone who came down to Mr. Beery's last night. We had a blast! And it's all, of course, because of y'all.
See you / hear us. Tonight. 8:30 p.m. The full show.

Hey, folks! bluerace is back on the boards again: Mr. Beery's. Next Saturday night, July 15th, @ 8:30 p.m. Oughta be interesting, since Thom's been away for over a month, and we'll only have one brief rehearsal beforehand. Plus, the calendar suggests, at the moment, that we'll get to do the full show. Not just 45 minutes off and on. Hoo boy! Should be innaresting. But fun.
4019 Hempstead Turnpike, Bethpage, NY (that's Long Island!) 11714.
Hope to see y'all there.
Yikes! Before you come out in the freezing cold to see us tomorrow night.....COVID STRIKES IN BAND LAND. And we're in isolation. Playing with ourselves.
Sorry. - r,t,v&b
So our phones are telling us that the temperature will be about 3 degrees Fahrenheit on Long Island on Saturday night. (Plus we heard something about a -40 degree wind chill factor!!!)
Come on down. We'll do our best to keep you warm.
'Cause who loves you? We do. That's who. - r,t,v&b
Hope to see all of our Long Island friends there! One week from this Saturday night. 8:00 p.m. Mr. Beery's. (And yes, Virginia. There really IS a Mr. Beery.)
So here we are, just getting around to wishing a happy outro to 2022 and happy intro to 2023 to all who gather now and then here in blue land!
Here's a little bit of what is upcoming and going on with us...
Saturday night, February 25th at 8:00 p.m. We'll be playing at Carney's Irish Pub and Restaurant in Amityville, New York. (That's Long Island for those of you in the know.) 136 Broadway, Amityville, NY 11701. It's either two shows or three bar sets - we're not sure just yet. (Meantime, no wisecracks about the Amityville Horror, please.)
Saturday night, February 4th, 8:00 p.m. at...a venue on L.I. yet to be disclosed. We'll announce when we see it on their calendar. ;)
Finally, it's looks as though we're finally going back into the studio in February to work on our as-yet-unnamed album that has been taking for-ev-er. We have four songs in the can, two that need a nip and tuck, and two that we are resurrecting. February looks to be basic tracks for the remaining three. Of course, these things are always all kind of fluid and changing.
Nonetheless, we hope to see you along the way. And we wish you all the best year you have ever had.
Love and kisses,
r,t,v&b
Just a friendly reminder from your friendly blue guyz.
Love and kisses (and giving thanks),
r,t,v&b
Yeah, we're excited to be doing what we do. After turkey. After giving thanks. At one of our favorite, funky little clubs in downtown NYC. (We haven't played there since just before the pandemic hit.)
Hope to see ya there.
Love,
r,t,v&b

The show(s) must go on!!!
This coming Saturday night, 7/30, at 8:00 p.m.
Please note, though, that this is one of those "don't blink or you'll miss it" shows. Don't get stuck on the subway or in crosstown traffic.
Holy exploding blue-ness! It's one week from tonight! bluerace at Michael Eppy Epstein's My Father's Place at the Metropolitan - with our buds John Rullo and the Molotov Cocktails. Come on down/up/across/whatever if you can. ❤
Vroom. Vroom. Yes. That's the sound of the bluerace promotional staff revving up the machinery for this one. (Of course, you can't hear anything on FB. You'll have to trust us on this one...)
bluerace, with our buddy John Rullo and the Molotov Cocktails. Friday, July 22. (John says they'll be going on first. Which is NOT what the calendar says. We'll play rock-paper-scissors or something, and figure it out.)
Be there. Or be L7. We luv ya.

Well, we do write our band's name as one word. But, you know...whatever.
Come on down and listen!
Finally... Some good news this week on the bluerace channel. (GOOD news? How about news PERIOD?!...)
(1) We are back to the rehearsal studio this week.
(2) We will get back into Cloud 9 Recording Studios to continue work on album #4 soon enough. Stay tuned.
(3) Michael Eppy Epstein spoke to Roger this week about booking us for a show at his new venue. (Eppy, we promise to give you the best we've got. You are the MAN.)
In the meantime, all these guys have just been sitting around waiting...
