Wyatt is a drum major in the marching band and plays French Horn in our Wind Symphony

-He joined marching band because It seemed like a cool opportunity and he knew other people who were joining

-His favorite part about marching band is the feeling after a good performance

Gavin!

Gavin is one of the drum majors in marching band and plays Tenor Saxophone in our Wind Symphony!

-Gavin joined marching band because his mom signed him up since it was a cool summer activity

West Jordan High School Drumline is proud to reveal their 2024 show “Last Signal” for their 4th consecutive winter season! We tell the tale of a space crew getting stranded after a system failure. Communications are down, engines go out and we’re running out of oxygen quickly. Can we save the ship? Or are we all destined for an starry grave in the cold clutches of space?

Noah!

Noah plays trumpet in wind symphony and jazz band. He also plays Bari sax in symphonic band and marches trumpet.

-Noah joined marching band because he wanted to get better at music and because he was encouraged by seniors.
-His favorite part about marching band is all of the beautiful music that is made and the memories made with friends.
-His advice: savor each and every moment and treasure those special memories.
- Noah wants to go to SUU and major in music education. He hopes to become a high school band director.

Sarah!

Sarah participates in our percussion ensemble, plays drum set in Jazz Band, and is our center marimba player for marching band! She also serves as our percussion captain and put section leader.

Sarah joined marching band because all of my friends convinced me to do it

Sarahs favorite part about marching band was always the people

Her future advice: “always be nice to everyone ( it pays off)”

After highschool she is going to college for music

Ell joined marching band because their sister was in marching band and Elliot’s mother was in marching band when she was younger.

Advice for members and rookies:“don’t let other people stop you from doing it, if this is something you want to do then you should do it”

After high school Ell wants to go to Weber state university, become a paramedic, and do DCI/WGI

Marika!

Marika plays bari sax in our wind symphony, euphonium in our symphonic band, and marches tenor sax. She also serves as our spirit squad head.

Jane joined marching band because all the band kids kept saying how fun it was and she needed something to do over the summer.
Her favorite part about marching band is performing a show you worked hard on with friends.
Janes advice for rookies and vets is to always wear sunscreen.
After highschool Jane wants to go and get a degree.

Kyle is a member of the marching band, jazz band, and percussion.

-Kyle joined marching band because he really enjoys music and all his friends in band were telling him to do it.
-His favorite part about marching band is when you get to see your improvement over time. He loves seeing how much better we get throughout the season and really enjoy seeing what score we get at comps.
-His advice for rookies: if something is hard, don't give up on it, keep pushing towards it or you will regret not being able to see the end result.
-After high school Kyle plans to either start college, try to do DCI, or go on a mission.
