Questionnaire distributed for the development of rights-based principles for ethical engagement with Indigenous Peoples by Conservation Funders and intermediaries. 22/07/2024

The International Indian Treaty Council (IITC) invites and encourages Indigenous Peoples' representatives whose lands, territories or ways of life have been impacted by “Conservation projects” to complete an online questionnaire focused on the impacts of these projects and proposing human rights responsibilities for conservation funders and intermediaries. The deadline for completion is July 30th, 2024.

Results will be compiled and shared by IITC including with a current initiativecoordinated by the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) in preparation for the 16th Conference of the Parties of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP16) which will take place in Columbia Oct 21- Nov 1, 2024.
