Dear Friends!
My grandson Brendan Vincent Hamel came to spend his spring vacation with us in Florida. Today we take you flying with us on the splendid beach of Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida.

A naval mine washed ashore in front of my Building in Lauderdale by the Sea. That is where Lella and I usually go to relax on the beach.
A section of the beach was taped off by the military. A police patrol discovered the “possible military explosive training device” at approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning.
It appeared that the word “inert” was written on the mine, which mean it could be a ‘dummy’ mine used in training, but that doesn’t rule out that it could be active.
Officials have just secured and removed the mine for further examination and investigation.
Having a Party! ...Great way to spend time with friends having fun. A great Holiday Cocktail Party & Dance has been organized by the Sea Ranch Club "C" Social Committee.
