Partial eclipse of the Harvest Moon

What a night last evening!!! The Northern Lights came out, even with a full moon. And they were visible to the naked eye for about 10 minutes as well. And the Big Dipper provided a centerpiece for them.

From last evening. A sweet sunset followed by the Northern Lights. The lights were fairly faint but they were there, at least for a bit.

Pelee Passage Light. The third light erected on this site marks Middle Ground Shoal which extends northward from Peele Island. It's adjacent to the shipping channel crossing Lake Erie. The second light was rebuilt and relocated to Lakeview Park n Windsor, Ontario.

A peek at the Fresnel lens in the lighthouse. Playing a bit with textures and framing as well.

A few shots from the Blue Angels practice run at Edgewater. Hazy skies made for difficult shots from a fair distance!! Not real happy with these, but decided to put some up anyhow.

Lieutenant Commander Amanda Lee is flying #4 here. She is the first female fighter jet pilot in the elite Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron. The sky was hard to work with due to so much heat and humidity causing a lot of haze in the air, along with the exhaust from the jets.
