I had to share this story. Yesterday when boarding the plane I was looking through IG and seen my daughter post this to her story and yep it made me cry. A while back when I was on an airplane flying out to work an event a women struck up a conversation and asked me if I was flying for vacation and I said no work. She asked me what I did so I told her I was a platform artist and travel to educate other stylist and also own a salon and work behind the chair. She said oh you most not have children. I said I actually have 2 beautiful girls and told her their ages. She then shamed me for being a mom and being selfish to travel and work leaving them at home. I told her I am proud to be a mom and have the ability to do all the things to show my girls you can be a woman and still live your dream. She said your husband should work and you should stay home…..I want to say that I have been a traveling artist for 24 years, salon owner for 17 years a mom for 16years. To see this posted by my daughter made my heart smile and proves that just because your a mom does not mean you have to give up your passion and love for what you do. So to any mom who needs to hear this stay strong and show your kids they can be anything no matter what 💖
