Good Monday morning all!
As we get closer to conference, I wanted to share that there has been a change in our Keynote Speaker. Tom O’Rourke, who is from South Carolina, was impacted by Hurricane Helene. I want to be very clear Tom was slated to attend the conference. We (ORPS) reached out to Tom to see if it would be better for him to come another year as when the conference got here, they (his home community) would still be in clean up mode.
As Oklahomans we are no stranger to catastrophic weather events; it was our belief that we needed to be good stewards and community partners to our colleagues on the east coast.
So, with that we will be updating our schedule to reflect those changes with a new keynote. Be on the lookout for that announcement in the next day or so.
We appreciate your understanding.
Have a great day all!
