Each August Centuri celebrates Quality Month. For nearly 30 years, we have formally recognized our unwavering commitment to quality by dedicating an entire month to the topic through education and activities that empower our teams.
Quality Month embodies our belief in safety and quality, first and always. It also reminds employees of the essential role they play in delivering a quality product on behalf of our customers.
This year our theme is Quality: A Legacy Built On Trust.
Some things never go out of style, and one of those things is ice-cold, fresh squeezed lemonade. NPL crew PA Operator Ray Hiles, Foreman Eric Mahoney and Laborer Colby Randall did just that, while supporting a young area entrepreneur. It’s just one of the many ways NPL is part of the fabric of the communities where we live and work.
Wishing you a safe and happy !
Today we celebrate the significance of Juneteenth. It is also a reminder to foster a workplace of inclusivity and understanding, where everyone can thrive.
Happy Father’s Day, with a special shoutout to the fathers on our team! Whether you are a biological dad, stepdad, foster dad, adoptive dad, or a father figure, today we celebrate you.
We’re committed to helping develop the next generation of skilled trade professionals. That’s why we were delighted to sponsor the 2024 Gas Operations School and associated exhibit in Rhode Island this month. Our team was on hand to share their knowledge of the field and the industry, including career paths in the natural gas industry.
This Memorial Day we pause to honor and remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service for our country. We owe them a debt of gratitude for all that we enjoy and hold dear.
At NPL, nothing is more important than our employees returning home safely, every day. We also believe that safety is everyone’s job, which is why we engage in Think SAFE, a behavior and observation-based safety program. To further support our culture of safety, this spring we held Think SAFE summits across the country. Participants discussed energy-based hazard identification, the evolution of our Think SAFE Program, and had the opportunity to discuss area-specific content. We appreciate the willingness of all our employees to learn, share, and help foster a safety-first mindset.
When it comes to safety and looking after others, our NPL Kansas team is never off the clock. In February, Foreman Mike Nienke and his crew were working on an area job site when they spotted a nearby camper catch fire. They were prepared with the right safety gear and training. As a result, they successfully contained the fire until the local fire department arrived, and helped ensure a woman’s safe escape without harm. We commend the crew for their bravery and smart thinking!
Another fantastic year at Western Energy Institute's Operations Conference! A huge shoutout to our incredible industry peers and friends, both new and old, for making our time at the event so memorable. Special thanks to everyone who swung by our booth and joined us for the insightful panel discussion featuring NPL's Steve Wong. Events like these are invaluable opportunities to connect and network with fellow energy industry professionals.
On Sunday, April 14, NPL Pennsylvania employees and their families turned out to support an amazing cause to give babies a fighting chance for a healthy start in life. In addition to participating in the walk, NPL was the Tribute Tent sponsor. The event was a wonderful opportunity to connect with people personally impacted by the March of Dimes mission and to give back to the community.
Yesterday, NPL Kansas participated in the inaugural Kansas Safety Summit. This event coincided with Safe Digging Month and focused on every aspect of safety, excavation safety, and damage prevention.

About 1 in 7 children in the state of Arizona are facing hunger. Any children in need are sent home with food items in their backpacks so they have something to eat when they are not in school.

Five Decades in the Making.
Founded in a small town in northern Minnesota, NPL began as Northern Gas Line Constructors focusing exclusively on gas customers. By 1971, the company progressed from the installation of local farm taps to the construction of several large gas pipeline construction projects in nearby states. By 1973, the company was renamed Northern Pipeline Construction Co., and a few years later, moved its headquarters to Minneapolis-St. Paul. A decade later, the company arrived at its current location in Phoenix, Arizona.
In 2008, Northern Pipeline became NPL Construction Co., and today, the company is recognized as a leader in energy construction with a reputation for excellence in reliability, performance and customer satisfaction.
